Youdha Launches Hand-Painted EPOD-Bharat Electric Three-Wheeler at Bharat Vyapar Mahotsav
Youdha has launched the limited-edition EPOD-Bharat electric three-wheeler, featuring hand-painted Warli tribal art. Priced at ₹3.20 lakh, it offers a 227 km certified range, 6 kW motor, 11.8 kWh LFP battery, City and Boost modes, and 300 mm water-wading capacity. Built at the Kashipur plant, the special edition combines Indian cultural heritage with modern electric mobility.

Omega Seiki Mobility has partnered with Electra AI to introduce real-time battery monitoring, predictive analytics and State of Health insights across its EV ecosystem. The platform aims to reduce unexpected downtime, improve fleet productivity, support proactive maintenance, warranty management and product development. Transparent battery health data could also help financiers and customers assess EV condition more accurately, potentially improving residual values and supporting India’s growing used EV market.
ChargeZone and Fresh Bus Expand Partnership to Support 500 Electric Buses
ChargeZone and Fresh Bus have expanded their partnership to grow the electric bus fleet from 100 to 500 vehicles. ChargeZone will add 30 MW of charging capacity, taking the total to 40 MW. Over the next 15 months, the network will connect 20 cities and 17 towns across four southern states, supporting 20,000 daily journeys and potentially reducing 9,000-10,000 tonnes of CO₂ annually.
Montra Electric Partners Perpetuity Capital to Expand EV Three-Wheeler Financing
Montra Electric has signed an MoU with Perpetuity Capital to provide flexible financing for its electric passenger and cargo three-wheelers. The partnership aims to reduce upfront ownership barriers and improve access to credit for drivers, entrepreneurs, fleet operators and small businesses. By making EV purchases more affordable and accessible, the collaboration is expected to support wider adoption of electric commercial mobility across India.
Chartered Speed Expands Electric Bus Operations Across Eight Rajasthan Cities
Chartered Speed has deployed 71 electric buses across eight major Rajasthan cities under the PM e-Bus Sewa scheme. Electric vehicles now account for around 25% of its 2,000+ bus fleet, up from 10%. Supported by an order for over 800 e-buses and a 22 MW charging network, the expansion will strengthen clean public transport and create more than 1,500 direct skilled jobs.
Mahindra Hits 4 Lakh EV Sales Milestone, Sets 1 Million EV Target by 2031
Mahindra Last Mile Mobility has crossed 4 lakh cumulative EV sales, becoming India’s first commercial vehicle manufacturer to achieve this milestone. Its EVs have travelled over 9 billion kilometres and helped avoid around 1.85 lakh tonnes of CO₂ emissions. With models including Treo, Zor Grand, e-Alfa and ZEO, Mahindra now aims to put 1 million electric vehicles on Indian roads by 2031.
Ashok Leyland Partners with Haryana Govt to Set Up Driver Training Institute in Ambala
Ashok Leyland has partnered with the Haryana Government to establish a 13-acre Institute of Driving Training and Research in Ambala. The facility will train around 2,000 new commercial drivers and upskill 20,000 existing drivers annually. Featuring digital classrooms, advanced simulators, specialised driving tracks, engine demonstration areas and trainee accommodation, the institute aims to improve driver skills, road safety and employment opportunities in India’s transport sector.
Tata Motors and Drivn Partner to Deploy Over 1,000 Electric Trucks Across India
Tata Motors has partnered with Drivn to deploy over 1,000 electric trucks in India within two years. The collaboration will offer customised leasing and financing solutions to reduce high upfront costs for fleet operators. Tata Trucks.ev, covering 7–55 tonne GVW, will support e-commerce, construction and port logistics, helping accelerate cleaner commercial transportation.
Euler Motors Expands Palwal Manufacturing Facility, Adds Dedicated 4W Production Line
Euler Motors has invested ₹100 crore to expand its Palwal facility, increasing annual production capacity to 24,000 vehicles. The dedicated line will manufacture the Turbo EV 1000 and ADAS-equipped Storm EV. The Turbo EV 1000 helped EV penetration in its segment rise to 5.8%, while Euler Motors has secured an estimated 28% market share, strengthening its electric commercial vehicle presence.
LiuGong to Join Bauma Conexpo India 2026: Latest Innovations Set for Greater Noida Showcase
LiuGong has confirmed its participation in Bauma Conexpo India 2026, scheduled from September 15 to 18 at India Expo Centre, Greater Noida. Haryana has increased the incentive for sugarcane farmers using 4-foot wide-row planting from ₹3,000 to ₹5,000 per acre. The state will also set up four tissue culture labs, promote improved varieties and pilot machine-based harvesting at Kaithal Sugar Mill. These measures aim to improve productivity, sugar recovery and farmer income while reducing cultivation and labour-related challenges.

Escorts Kubota has invested over ₹2,000 crore in a new 154-acre manufacturing plant in Uttar Pradesh. Phase 1 will produce 60,000 tractors and 15,000 construction equipment units annually. The integrated facility will manufacture tractors, implements, engines and construction equipment for domestic and global markets. Located near the Yamuna Expressway and Jewar Airport, it will strengthen production, logistics and exports.
MP Kavach Yojana 2026: 5,000 Farmers to Get Access to Fresh Agricultural Loans
Madhya Pradesh has approved the Kavach Yojana 2026 to restore institutional credit access for around 5,000 farmers affected by pending loan investigations. Under the scheme, Apex and District Cooperative Banks will create a ₹50 crore special fund, while the state will provide ₹25 crore in share capital assistance. The initiative aims to provide eligible farmers fresh agricultural loans for timely cultivation expenses.
UP Launches 3 New Schemes for Potato Farmers: Price Subsidy, Cold Storage Aid and Seed Discount
Uttar Pradesh has launched three schemes for potato farmers in 2026-27, targeting price falls, storage costs and expensive seeds. A ₹1,000 crore Bhamashah Price Stabilization Fund will provide support for up to 2 hectares. Farmers can also receive ₹100 per quintal cold-storage assistance, capped at ₹20,000, and up to ₹1,000 per quintal discount on departmental potato seeds. Around 15 lakh farmers are expected to benefit.
Madhya Pradesh released the 39th installment of Ladli Behna Yojana, transferring ₹1,750 to eligible women through DBT. The amount includes ₹1,500 regular assistance and a ₹250 Rakshabandhan gift, with over ₹2,148 crore released. The scheme supports women’s household needs, savings and small businesses. Alongside the installment, development projects worth ₹256 crore were announced for Maihar district.
Mahindra OJA Completes Three Years, Boosts Adoption of 21-30 HP Compact 4WD Tractors
Mahindra OJA has completed three years as its global lightweight 4WD tractor platform, offering four models from 21–30 HP. Powered by a 1331 cc engine delivering up to 86 Nm torque, the range targets specialised farming such as orchards, vineyards and horticulture. Features include PROJA productivity tech, MYOJA telematics, ROBOJA automation and a six-year warranty, combining precision, efficiency and advanced mechanisation.
