Escorts Kubota has launched the new Kubota MU4502 and MU5002 tractors in India, expanding its premium tractor portfolio in the 41–50 HP segment. The MU4502 delivers 45 HP, while the MU5002 produces 50 HP. Both tractors are designed for multiple farming and haulage applications and come with an industry-first 8-year transferable warranty, according to the company.
The transferable warranty is designed to remain valid even when the tractor changes ownership, giving buyers an added advantage in terms of long-term ownership and resale value.
Both tractors are powered by the Kubota KQP4 Japanese engine and use a 12F + 4R Multi-Speed Synchromesh gearbox. The tractors also feature Pompa Lift with Dual Stabilizer Spring (DSS) technology, which helps maintain implement stability and working depth, particularly when operating on uneven terrain.
The tractors also come with a balancer shaft to help reduce vibrations during operation, supporting smoother and more comfortable performance.
The new Kubota tractors come equipped with several features focused on operator comfort, visibility and ease of use. These include:
Full LED lighting
Covered flat-deck platform
Bucket seat
Suspended pedals
Double-acting power steering
Ergonomically positioned controls
Balancer shaft for reduced vibration
Pompa Lift with Dual Stabilizer Spring technology
12F + 4R Multi-Speed Synchromesh transmission
Both models are also offered with 4WD, making them suitable for a wide range of field conditions and applications.
Escorts Kubota has designed the MU4502 and MU5002 as multi-utility tractors that can work with both primary and secondary tillage equipment. They are compatible with implements such as super seeders, seed drills, potato planters, mini round balers and cultivators.
The tractors are suitable for crops including paddy, wheat, maize, pulses and soyabean. Along with agricultural operations, they can also be used for haulage and commercial applications.
A reverse PTO is available for specialised operations involving implements such as rotavators and straw reapers, further expanding their application range.
According to Escorts Kubota, the tractors are suitable for farmers with landholdings of five acres and above and will be available across India.
One of the biggest highlights of the new tractors is the 8-year transferable warranty. Escorts Kubota says the warranty stays with the tractor even if its ownership changes.
According to Rajan Chugh, Chief Officer, Tractor Division, Escorts Kubota, the warranty has been introduced to strengthen the overall ownership proposition and support the resale value of the tractors.
The company believes this extended transferable warranty can provide additional confidence to buyers who plan to upgrade or sell their tractor in the future.
The MU4502 and MU5002 have been added to the existing Kubota MU tractor range, which now includes:
MU4201
MU4501
MU4502
MU5002
MU5502
Escorts Kubota operates three tractor brands in India, Farmtrac, Powertrac and Kubota, covering entry-premium, value and premium segments respectively. The newly launched MU4502 and MU5002 are positioned within the premium Kubota range.
Nikhil Nanda, Chairman and Managing Director, Escorts Kubota, said the new tractors are aimed at progressive farmers, existing tractor owners planning to upgrade, contract farming operators and custom hiring businesses.
He highlighted the importance of the 41–50 HP category, which is among the largest and most important segments in India's tractor market.
The MU4502 and MU5002 are therefore positioned as versatile options for users who need one tractor for multiple agricultural operations as well as haulage and commercial work.
