The collaboration aims to give better visibility into battery health and performance while supporting customers, financiers, retailers and fleet operators with more detailed battery-related information. As battery performance becomes increasingly important for EV uptime, financing and total cost of ownership, the partnership could help improve how electric vehicles are monitored and managed throughout their lifecycle.

OSM to Strengthen Battery Health Monitoring

Under the partnership, Omega Seiki Mobility will deploy Electra AI’s battery intelligence platform to track battery performance and generate detailed State of Health insights. The system is designed to provide deeper operational visibility into batteries and use predictive analytics to identify potential issues before they affect vehicle operations.

The battery data will support proactive maintenance and help reduce the chances of unexpected vehicle downtime. OSM also plans to use these insights for warranty management and future product development.

For fleet operators, improved access to battery performance data could help support better fleet productivity and maintenance planning. The information can also provide greater transparency to retailers, customers and financiers involved in the EV ecosystem.

Battery Health Could Play a Key Role in EV Residual Value

According to OSM, battery health is becoming an increasingly important factor in determining the residual value of an electric vehicle. Reliable and transparent battery-health information could also support the growth of India's used EV market.

Dr Uday Narang, Founder and Chairman of Omega Seiki Mobility, highlighted the importance of accurately measuring battery condition.

“Battery health is the single biggest determinant of an EV's residual value, and until that can be measured transparently, the used EV market will remain constrained,” Narang said.

Access to clear State of Health data could help buyers and sellers better understand the condition of a used electric vehicle. It may also support financiers in making more informed decisions regarding EV financing and asset valuation.

Predictive Analytics to Support Fleet Productivity

OSM Chief Strategy Officer Vivek Dhawan said the battery analytics system would provide operational insights focused on improving fleet productivity and reducing unplanned downtime.

The intelligence generated through the platform is also expected to support warranty management and help OSM use real-world battery data in product development. By analysing battery performance over time, the company can gain a clearer understanding of how batteries operate under different usage conditions.

This could become particularly important as commercial EV fleets expand, where vehicle availability, maintenance costs and battery reliability have a direct impact on daily operations and overall ownership costs.

What Electra AI’s Battery Intelligence Platform Offers

Electra AI describes its platform as an intelligence layer designed to monitor, optimise and control battery systems throughout their lifecycle. The platform combines Agentic AI, Physical AI and physics-informed battery modelling with Large Quantitative Models (LQMs).

The technology is intended to convert battery data into useful insights for vehicle manufacturers and fleet operators. These insights can support vehicle development, customer assurance and day-to-day fleet operations.

Fabrizio Martini, Co-founder and CEO of Electra AI, said the platform is designed to provide manufacturers with actionable battery intelligence that can support multiple aspects of the EV business.

With the growing adoption of electric vehicles, detailed battery monitoring is expected to become increasingly relevant not only for vehicle manufacturers but also for fleet owners, customers and financial institutions.

Partnership Focuses on the Wider EV Ecosystem

The collaboration reflects the growing importance of battery intelligence in the commercial electric vehicle sector. Beyond monitoring battery performance, the availability of reliable data can influence EV uptime, maintenance planning, warranty decisions, financing and total cost of ownership.

For OSM, integrating real-time monitoring and predictive analytics across its EV ecosystem could provide a more data-driven approach to battery management. State of Health insights may also help build greater confidence around EV performance and support future decisions related to vehicle resale value.

The companies, however, did not disclose the financial terms of the partnership. They also did not specify which Omega Seiki Mobility vehicle models will initially be covered under the agreement.

As the EV market continues to expand, the ability to accurately track and understand battery health is likely to become increasingly important. Through its partnership with Electra AI, Omega Seiki Mobility is looking to use advanced battery intelligence to improve operational visibility, support proactive maintenance and provide stakeholders across the EV ecosystem with better insight into one of the vehicle's most critical components.
