Bombay Logistics has flagged off a fleet of Blue Energy Motors heavy-duty LNG trucks for commercial operations in Karnataka. The trucks will be deployed in the Toranagallu region to support demanding industrial freight operations for JSW Steel.
The deployment marks another step towards the adoption of alternative-fuel commercial vehicles in India's heavy-duty freight sector. Designed for intensive commercial applications, Blue Energy Motors LNG trucks aim to offer a combination of strong performance, long-haul capability and improved fuel efficiency for industrial transportation.
The newly deployed trucks will operate in the Toranagallu region, where they will handle freight requirements linked to JSW Steel operations. Heavy-duty industrial transportation demands consistent performance, reliability and efficient operations, particularly on high-utilisation routes.
Blue Energy Motors says its LNG trucks are built to meet these requirements while offering up to 20% better fuel efficiency. This can help fleet operators improve operating efficiency while also reducing the carbon intensity of freight transportation.
The company is focusing on making cleaner freight solutions commercially practical for fleet operators that require vehicles capable of handling intensive and long-distance operations.
Mr. Thimmaraj Kakarla, Managing Partner, Bombay Logistics, said the company's shift towards LNG was driven by the need for a practical and commercially viable solution for real-world operations.
“For us, the move to LNG is about finding a practical solution that works on the road and makes commercial sense. The performance and fuel efficiency of the Blue Energy Motors trucks were important considerations, while the Blue Energy Motors team’s support throughout the deployment, from vehicle handover and route planning to on-ground assistance, made the transition seamless. As these trucks begin operations for JSW Steel, we see this as a meaningful step towards improving operating efficiency while reducing the carbon footprint of our freight movement,” he said.
Apart from vehicle performance and fuel efficiency, Bombay Logistics also highlighted the support provided during the deployment process. This included assistance with vehicle handover, route planning and on-ground support to help ensure a smooth transition to LNG-powered trucks.
Mr. Anand Mimani, CEO, EV & New Energy, Blue Energy Motors, said the company is pleased to support Bombay Logistics with LNG trucks for demanding industrial applications.
“We are pleased to support Bombay Logistics in deploying our LNG trucks for demanding industrial operations. For us, the priority is simple: deliver the performance and reliability the customer needs while making the shift to cleaner freight practical,” he said.
The deployment reflects Blue Energy Motors focus on providing alternative-fuel heavy-duty trucks that can meet commercial fleet requirements without compromising on operational capability.
Bombay Logistics' leadership team, including Mr. Raghavendra Ghodke, Managing Partner, and Mr. Deewakar Kakarla, General Manager, continues to focus on improving operational efficiency and adopting alternative-fuel solutions for freight transportation.
The deployment of LNG trucks for JSW Steel operations is part of this broader approach, with the company looking at solutions that can support commercial requirements while helping reduce the environmental impact of its freight movement.

Blue Energy Motors has established a growing presence in India's alternative-fuel commercial mobility segment, with more than 1,400 trucks operating across key freight routes in the country.
The company has crossed 100 million green kilometres on Indian roads and says its operations have helped reduce more than 30,000 tonnes of CO₂ emissions. According to the company, this reduction is equivalent to the carbon absorption capacity of nearly 1.2 million trees.
Blue Energy Motors continues to position itself as India's No. 1 Green Truck Brand, with an expanding presence in both LNG and electric heavy-duty transportation.
The latest deployment with Bombay Logistics further adds to Blue Energy Motors experience in industrial and freight applications. The company is continuing to focus on alternative-fuel trucks that bring together performance, fuel efficiency and dependable support for commercial fleet operators.
With the LNG trucks now beginning commercial operations for JSW Steel in Karnataka's Toranagallu region, the partnership represents a move towards cleaner and more efficient heavy-duty freight transportation while addressing the demanding requirements of industrial logistics.
