The amount included the regular monthly installment of ₹1,500 along with an additional ₹250 provided as a special Rakshabandhan gift. The state government transferred more than ₹2,148 crore to the accounts of eligible women beneficiaries under this installment through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
Under the 39th installment of the Ladli Behna Yojana, beneficiary women received ₹1,750 in total. Of this, ₹1,500 was the regular installment, while ₹250 was given as additional financial assistance on the occasion of Rakshabandhan.
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav transferred the amount directly to the beneficiaries bank accounts with a single click. The additional amount gave women extra financial support during the festival and increased the festive cheer among the scheme's beneficiaries.
The Madhya Pradesh government released more than ₹2,148 crore under the 39th installment of the Ladli Behna Yojana. The funds were transferred directly into the bank accounts of eligible women across the state.
The use of the DBT system ensures that beneficiaries receive the financial assistance directly without needing to visit government offices or other centres to collect the amount. The government periodically transfers financial assistance under the scheme, with the Rakshabandhan installment carrying the additional ₹250 benefit.
Along with releasing the Ladli Behna Yojana installment, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav also gave Maihar district development projects worth ₹256 crore.
The Chief Minister inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for several development works in the district. These projects are expected to support the expansion of road, education, health and other important infrastructure. According to the government, the development works will improve local facilities and provide direct benefits to residents of the region.
The financial support received under the Ladli Behna Yojana is being used by women for different personal and household requirements. Many beneficiaries are also saving a part of the amount to strengthen their financial security.
According to the government, several women are using the assistance to start or expand small income-generating activities. These include tailoring, dairy, animal husbandry, grocery shops and other small businesses. Such activities can help women increase their income while also contributing to their families financial needs.
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav linked the Ladli Behna Yojana with women's self-respect and self-reliance. He said that after marriage, establishing an independent identity in a new family can be challenging for women, and financial assistance can help them make decisions and meet their own needs.
The government's objective, according to the Chief Minister, is not limited to providing direct financial support. It also aims to strengthen women socially and economically by promoting their empowerment and encouraging self-reliance through various women-focused schemes and programmes.
The transfer of ₹1,750 directly into the bank accounts of eligible women provided additional support during Rakshabandhan. The combination of the ₹1,500 regular installment and the ₹250 special gift helped beneficiaries meet personal and family expenses during the festival.
For many women, the Ladli Behna Yojana has also become a source of support for savings and small business activities. With the release of the 39th installment and the special Rakshabandhan benefit, the government has provided additional financial relief while continuing its focus on women's economic empowerment and self-reliance.
