Mahindra Reports 39,742 CV & 3-Wheeler Sales in July 2026, Domestic Sales Rise 33%, Exports Up 47%
Mahindra reported a strong performance in July 2026, with domestic commercial vehicle and three-wheeler sales rising 33% YoY to 39,742 units. LCV below 2 tonnes grew 40%, LCV 2T–3.5T increased 21%, and three-wheeler sales surged 53%. Commercial vehicle exports also climbed 47% to 4,070 units, driven by robust demand for logistics, last-mile delivery, passenger mobility, and electric three-wheelers in domestic and international markets.
VECV sold 6,911 commercial vehicles in July 2026, registering 21.4% YoY growth. Eicher sales rose 21.7% to 6,715 units, with domestic sales up 23.7% to 6,310 units. SCV/LMD trucks grew 28.9%, while heavy-duty trucks increased 13.2%. Volvo Trucks sales climbed 12%, though exports declined 2.4%, as strong domestic demand continued to drive overall growth.
Tata Motors CV Sales Jump 37% in July 2026 as Exports Surge 128%, Domestic Demand Remains Strong
Tata Motors sold 39,641 commercial vehicles in July 2026, registering a 37% YoY growth. Domestic CV sales rose 28% to 33,876 units, while exports surged 128% to 5,765 units. HCV Trucks led domestic growth with a 33% increase, and SCV Cargo & Pickup remained the largest segment with 12,865 units sold. Strong demand across freight, logistics, infrastructure, passenger mobility, and exports drove the company's impressive performance.
Ashok Leyland July 2026 Sales: Commercial Vehicle Sales Jump 40% YoY to 17,129 Units
Ashok Leyland sold 17,129 commercial vehicles in July 2026, recording 40% YoY growth. Domestic sales increased 37% to 16,253 units, while exports surged 167% to 876 units. Overall M&HCV sales rose 47% and LCV sales grew 32%, with M&HCV exports jumping 226%. Strong domestic demand and robust export growth drove the company's impressive monthly performance.
Greaves Electric Mobility (GEML) has raised ₹530 crore through a fully subscribed Rights Issue, backed by existing shareholders including Greaves Cotton and Abdul Latif Jameel Green Mobility Solutions. The funds will support next-generation EVs, battery technology, powertrains, manufacturing expansion, and its "Built for Bharat" strategy. GEML has also deferred its IPO, choosing to pursue a public listing when market conditions become more favourable.
Electric Bus Sales in India Decline 25.1% in July 2026; Olectra Greentech Emerges as Market Leader
India's electric bus registrations declined 25.1% month-on-month to 548 units in July 2026. Olectra Greentech led the market with 132 registrations and a 24.1% share, while JBM Electric Vehicles and PMI Electro Mobility jointly ranked second with 118 units each. Aeroeagle Automobiles recorded the highest growth at 118.2%, whereas Switch Mobility and Tata Motors saw the sharpest declines.
India's E-3W Goods L5 Market in July 2026; Bajaj Auto and Omega Seiki Maintain Strong Momentum
India's electric goods three-wheeler (E-3W L5) market maintained strong momentum in July 2026. Mahindra Last Mile Mobility led with 659 registrations, while Bajaj Auto and Omega Seiki posted robust year-on-year growth of 25.4% and 22.3%, respectively. Dilli Electric Auto continued to improve, and TVS Motor recorded the highest month-on-month growth at 34.9%, reflecting rising demand for electric cargo mobility.

With over 36 years of automotive experience and a former SIAM Executive Director, he will lead government relations, public policy, corporate affairs, and CSR, supporting EKA Mobility's expansion and sustainable mobility strategy.
India's three-wheeler retail sales reached 1,33,778 units in July 2026, rising 6.89% MoM and 16.16% YoY. Passenger three-wheelers remained the largest segment, while goods three-wheelers recorded the highest annual growth at 47%. Bajaj Auto retained market leadership with a 33.57% share, followed by Mahindra, as Piaggio, TVS Motor, and Atul Auto also posted healthy retail growth.
India's commercial vehicle retail sales reached 99,666 units in July 2026, rising 4.94% MoM and 24.04% YoY. LCVs remained the largest segment with 61,634 units, while HCV sales also grew strongly. Tata Motors retained market leadership with a 34.85% share, followed by Mahindra & Mahindra at 26.14%, reflecting healthy demand across logistics, infrastructure, and freight transportation.
NueGo Expands Electric Intercity Bus Network, Launches New Routes Across India
NueGo has expanded its electric intercity bus network to over 150 cities by launching new routes across key business, tourism, and pilgrimage corridors. The buses feature 25 safety checks, ADAS, CCTV, GPS tracking, DMS, breath analysers, and an 80 km/h speed lock. Women passengers also benefit from Pink Seats and a 24x7 helpline, promoting safe and sustainable travel.
Escorts Kubota Tractor Sales Rise 22% in July 2026 as Domestic Demand Remains Strong
Escorts Kubota sold 8,731 tractors in July 2026, up 22% year-on-year, driven by a 23.7% rise in domestic sales to 8,194 units, while exports grew 1.3% to 537 units. Cumulative April–July FY27 sales reached 45,593 units, up 20.8%. Improved monsoon conditions and faster Kharif sowing continued to support strong tractor demand across India.
Mahindra Tractor Sales Grow 20% in July 2026; Domestic Sales Jump 21% to 32,643 Units
Mahindra sold 34,420 tractors in July 2026, with domestic sales rising 21% to 32,643 units and exports increasing 3% to 1,777 units. Cumulative FY27 sales reached 192,461 units, up 18% year-on-year. Strong demand was driven by improved monsoon, faster Kharif sowing, better farm incomes, government support, and positive rural sentiment.
VST July 2026 Sales: Power Tiller Sales Drop 9.56%, Total Sales Stand at 5,853 Units
VST Tillers Tractors reported total sales of 5,853 units in July 2026, down 9.55% year-on-year, with power tiller sales declining 9.56% to 5,450 units and tractor sales falling 9.44% to 403 units. Despite the monthly decline, April–July FY27 cumulative sales grew 7.66% to 20,914 units, driven by an 8.60% rise in power tiller sales, while tractor sales slipped 2.12%.
Madhya Pradesh’s Narsinghpur district has launched a Smart Hybrid Token System for fertilizer distribution during Kharif season. Farmers can book tokens online or offline and collect fertilizers at scheduled times. Each center will issue 100 daily tokens, while sales will be digitally recorded for transparency. The MP government has also formed a committee to improve the e-Vikas fertilizer distribution system.
Sonalika Tractors Records Best-Ever July Sales of 11,442 Units, Domestic Growth Surges 27.2%
Sonalika Tractors recorded its best-ever July performance with sales of 11,442 tractors in 2026. The company’s domestic sales grew 27.2% YoY, outperforming the tractor industry by 1.3 times and becoming the highest market share gainer. Strong monsoon, faster Kharif sowing, and rising demand for higher HP tractors supported growth as Sonalika strengthened its position in India’s tractor market.
Uttar Pradesh has increased the Chief Minister’s Farmer Scholarship amount from ₹3,000 to ₹5,000 per month for eligible students from farmer families. The scheme now provides up to ₹60,000 annual support to cover education expenses like fees, books, and study materials. The initiative aims to reduce financial barriers, prevent dropouts, and promote higher education opportunities for rural students.
Mahindra Tractors Launches 'Duniya Vich Ikko Lalkaar' Campaign to Celebrate Punjab's Farming Pride

Farmer consent is now mandatory before issuing policies. The application deadline has been extended to August 16, 2026. The new rules aim to improve transparency, reduce claim disputes, and ensure timely compensation for farmers.
Tamil Nadu’s Agriculture Budget 2026-27 announces major farmer support measures, including a ₹5,932 crore crop loan waiver benefiting 14.43 lakh farmers. The state has allocated ₹340 crore to tackle Super El Niño impacts, ₹134 crore for the Kuruvai Package with full crop insurance, ₹648 crore for PMFBY, and ₹7,432 crore for electric tube well irrigation subsidies to strengthen farming.
India’s tractor retail market recorded strong growth in July 2026, with sales reaching 1,17,349 units, up 28% YoY. Mahindra Tractor Division led the market with a 22.89% share, followed by Swaraj at 19.03% and ITL at 13.63%. TAFE and Escorts Kubota improved their market presence, while smaller OEMs saw their combined share decline amid rising competition.
The 39th installment of Madhya Pradesh Ladli Behna Yojana is expected around August 10, 2026, subject to official confirmation. Eligible women with approved applications, Aadhaar-linked bank accounts, and active DBT will receive the payment. Beneficiaries can check the Final List on the official portal and verify payments through bank accounts, passbooks, ATM, mobile banking, or SMS after release.
