Mahindra Tractor Sales Grow 20% in July 2026; Domestic Sales Jump 21% to 32,643 Units

Mahindra & Mahindra's Farm Equipment Business has reported a strong performance in July 2026, driven by healthy demand in the domestic market. The company sold 34,420 tractors during the month, registering a 20% year-on-year growth compared to 28,708 units sold in July 2025.
The company also recorded solid growth in both domestic and export markets, supported by improving agricultural conditions and positive farmer sentiment.

Mahindra Domestic Tractor Sales Rise 21% in July 2026
Mahindra sold 32,643 tractors in the domestic market during July 2026, compared to 26,990 units in the same month last year. This represents a 21% year-on-year increase, reflecting strong demand from farmers across the country.
Exports also recorded steady growth. The company shipped 1,777 tractors overseas in July 2026, up from 1,718 units in July 2025, registering a 3% increase.

Mahindra FY27 Tractor Sales Continue Strong Growth
Mahindra also posted impressive cumulative sales for the financial year up to July 2026.
Domestic tractor sales reached 185,069 units, compared to 156,189 units during the same period in FY26, reflecting 19% growth.
Exports increased by 12%, rising from 6,608 units to 7,392 units.
As a result, Mahindra's cumulative tractor sales stood at 192,461 units, up from 162,797 units in the corresponding period last year, registering an overall 18% year-on-year growth.

Mahindra Attributes Growth to Better Rural Conditions
Commenting on the July 2026 performance, Veejay Nakra, President - Farm Equipment Business, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., said the company sold 32,643 tractors in the domestic market, achieving 21% growth over the previous year.
He stated that the strong performance was supported by a significant recovery in rainfall, improved reservoir water levels, faster kharif sowing, continued government support, and healthy farm cash flows. These factors have helped strengthen rural demand and improve farmer sentiment, contributing to higher tractor sales.
Outlook
Mahindra's July 2026 sales performance highlights the continued recovery in India's agricultural sector. Strong domestic demand, supported by favourable monsoon conditions, improved water availability, faster kharif crop sowing, government support measures, and healthy farm incomes, helped the company achieve double-digit growth. With cumulative FY27 tractor sales already up 18% over last year, Mahindra has maintained strong momentum in both domestic and export markets.
