Energy In Motion Partners HPCL to Build EV Truck Charging and Battery Swapping Network Across India
Energy In Motion (EIM) has partnered with HPCL to build a nationwide network of fast-charging and battery-swapping stations for heavy electric trucks at selected HPCL fuel outlets. The rollout will begin on the Mumbai-Pune, Delhi-Jaipur and Chennai-Bengaluru freight corridors. Battery swapping will take just seven minutes, reducing downtime for commercial fleets. EIM plans to expand its network to 40 heavy EV swap-and-charge stations by March 2027, supporting faster adoption of electric freight transport in India.
Omega Seiki Mobility Raises ₹50 Crore to Expand EV Manufacturing, R&D and Dealer Network
Omega Seiki Mobility has raised ₹50 crore in a strategic funding round to expand manufacturing, strengthen R&D, grow its dealer and service network, and launch new EV products. The company, which operates plants in Faridabad and Pune, reported FY26 revenue of ₹333 crore and PAT of ₹7.3 crore. Its pre-IPO valuation is estimated between ₹1,775 crore and ₹2,833 crore.
Ashok Leyland Partners with UCO Bank to Offer Easy Vehicle Financing for Truck and Bus Buyers

Montra Electric Deploys 250 Rhino EV Trucks for Wonder Cement on 1,450-km Freight Corridor
Wonder Cement and Montra Electric have deployed around 250 Rhino 5538 EV heavy-duty trucks on India's longest 1,450-km electric freight corridor, supported by 13 charging stations with 39 chargers. Built for long-haul cement transport, the 55-tonne electric trucks demonstrate the viability of heavy-duty EV logistics. The fleet is expected to reduce nearly 39,500 tonnes of CO₂ emissions annually, advancing sustainable freight transportation in India.
Montra Electric Partners with Bansal Credits to Expand EV Financing Across North India
Montra Electric has partnered with Bansal Credits Limited to provide easy financing for its complete EV portfolio, including electric three-wheelers, e-SCVs, e-M&HCVs, and electric tractors. Available through Montra Electric dealerships, the financing will initially cover Delhi NCR, Uttar Pradesh, and Punjab. The partnership aims to offer faster loan approvals, simplify vehicle purchases, and boost electric vehicle adoption among commercial buyers and fleet operators in North India.
Mahindra Group will transfer its Mahindra Truck and Bus Division to SML Mahindra for ₹525 crore, creating a unified truck and bus business. The division generated ₹2,989 crore revenue in FY26, and the deal is expected to close by January 31, 2027, subject to approvals. Manufacturing will continue through Mahindra under a contract arrangement, ensuring uninterrupted operations while improving scale, efficiency, and market presence.
CASE India Appoints Sachin Tare as Director of Manufacturing at Pithampur Plant
CASE Construction Equipment has appointed Sachin Tare as Director - Manufacturing at its Pithampur plant near Indore. With over 30 years of experience, including leadership roles at Mahindra & Mahindra and BirlaNu Ltd., he will oversee manufacturing operations, improve efficiency, quality, and productivity. The Pithampur facility produces backhoe loaders and vibratory compactors for India and exports to more than 100 countries.
Switch Mobility Wins Order to Supply 650 Electric Buses for Mumbai and Pune Under PM E-Drive Scheme
Switch Mobility has secured an order to supply 650 electric buses to Sai Green Projects for deployment in Mumbai (BEST) and Pune (PMPML) under Phase II of the PM E-Drive scheme. The order includes 9-meter AC and non-AC buses awarded through a CESL tender. The project will strengthen sustainable public transport, while expanding Switch Mobility’s electric bus footprint, which already exceeds 2,500 buses across India.
CASE Construction Equipment India plans to increase annual production at its Pithampur plant to over 10,000 units, backed by capacity expansion and new localized products such as skid steer loaders and excavators. The company said CNH Industrial’s global partnership review will not affect India operations or investments. With nearly half of production exported, CASE also aims to double its India construction equipment revenue by 2030 through continued manufacturing growth.
The Central Government has upgraded the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana with digital tools including WINDS, YS-Tech, NCIP, DigiClaim, and the CLAP App to improve crop loss assessment and speed up insurance claims. Hyperlocal weather data, remote sensing, online claim processing, mandatory escrow accounts, and 12% interest on delayed payments aim to make crop insurance more transparent, accurate, and farmer-friendly while ensuring faster claim settlements.
MP Kisan Kalyan Yojana: ₹3,308 Crore Released, Farmers Receive 14th and 15th Installments Together
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav transferred ₹3,308 crore to over 82.70 lakh farmers under the Mukhyamantri Kisan Kalyan Yojana, releasing the 14th and 15th installments together through DBT. Eligible farmers receive ₹12,000 annually with PM-KISAN support. The government also announced daytime irrigation power after the monsoon and promoted modern farming, drones, organic agriculture, crop diversification, and expanded irrigation coverage to boost farm incomes.
Chana Price Report: Delhi Market Crosses ₹6,350 Per Quintal, Is ₹7,000 the Next Target?
Chana prices remain firm across India, with Delhi rates reaching ₹6,325-₹6,350 per quintal and Akola recording the highest price at ₹6,625. Strong domestic demand, low arrivals from Maharashtra, rising import costs, and global weather concerns are supporting the market. Traders believe prices could move towards ₹7,000 per quintal if supplies remain tight, though government stock releases and imports will influence future trends.
The Madhya Pradesh government is accepting applications for subsidies on five agricultural implements until August 4, 2026, with a lottery on August 5. Eligible farmers can receive up to 50% subsidy, while general category farmers can get up to 40%. An Agri-Stack Farmer ID, required documents, and a security deposit are mandatory. Mahindra & Mahindra's Farm Equipment Business reported a 15% rise in Q1 FY27 profit to ₹1,520 crore, with revenue also up 15% to ₹12,501 crore. Total tractor sales reached 1.58 lakh units, driven by 18% domestic and 15% export growth. Tractor EBIT margin fell to 19.2% due to higher steel and rubber costs. Mahindra retained its FY27 tractor growth forecast of around 5%, while group net profit rose 34% to ₹5,455 crore.
The Uttar Pradesh government has assured farmers that there is no fertilizer shortage for Kharif 2026, with stocks of 14.77 lakh MT Urea, 4.81 lakh MT DAP, and 4.90 lakh MT NPK available. A division-wise stock list has been released to ensure transparency. Farmers are advised to complete their Farmer Registry, avoid panic buying and rumours, and purchase fertilizers only as per their crop requirements.
Bihar Farmers to Get Up to 80% Subsidy on 86 Farm Machines Under ₹236.58 Crore SMAM Scheme
The Bihar government has approved ₹236.58 crore for the SMAM Scheme 2026-27 to boost farm mechanization. Farmers will receive 40%-80% subsidy on 86 agricultural implements. The plan includes setting up 267 Custom Hiring Centers, 480 Kisan Drone Centers, 38 Equipment Banks, and 200 crop residue management centers. The initiative aims to reduce cultivation costs, improve productivity, promote sustainable farming, and enhance access to modern technology, especially for small and marginal farmers.
