Escorts Kubota Tractor Sales Rise 22% in July 2026 as Domestic Demand Remains Strong

Escorts Kubota Limited has reported strong growth in its Agri Machinery Business for July 2026, driven by healthy domestic demand, improved monsoon conditions, and faster Kharif sowing across major agricultural regions. The company sold 8,731 tractors during the month, registering a 22% year-on-year (YoY) growth compared to 7,154 units sold in July 2025.

The company's domestic market continued to be the key growth driver, while export sales remained largely stable during the month.

Domestic Tractor Sales Grow Nearly 24%

Escorts Kubota sold 8,194 tractors in the Indian market in July 2026, compared to 6,624 units in July 2025, recording a strong 23.7% growth.

According to the company, demand remained healthy across both wholesale and retail markets. Better rainfall during July reduced the overall rainfall deficit to around 14-15%, while faster progress in Kharif sowing improved farmer confidence and supported higher tractor demand across rural India.

Export Sales Record Marginal Growth

In the export market, Escorts Kubota sold 537 tractors in July 2026, slightly higher than 530 units sold during the same month last year. This resulted in a modest 1.3% increase in export sales.

Although export growth remained limited, the company maintained stable overseas volumes during the month.

Escorts Kubota FY27 Tractor Sales (April-July 2026)

Escorts Kubota also reported strong cumulative sales for the first four months of FY27. Between April and July 2026, the company sold 45,593 tractors, compared to 37,735 units during the same period of FY26, registering an overall 20.8% growth.

Domestic sales remained the primary contributor to this performance, increasing 23.1% to 43,651 units from 35,472 units a year earlier. However, export sales declined 14.2%, falling to 1,942 units from 2,263 units in the corresponding period of FY26.

Monsoon and Kharif Season Continue to Support Demand

Escorts Kubota, which markets tractors under the Powertrac and Farmtrac brands, said improving monsoon conditions and stronger Kharif sowing activity played an important role in sustaining tractor demand during July.

Better rainfall across key farming regions boosted rural sentiment and encouraged purchases in both wholesale and retail channels, helping the company maintain its positive sales momentum.

Outlook

The company expects rural demand to remain resilient in the coming months. However, tractor sales will continue to depend on several factors, including the progress of the Kharif crop, the performance of the remaining monsoon season, rising agricultural input costs, the delayed festive season in the third quarter, and the high sales base of the previous year.

Overall, Escorts Kubota entered the second half of FY27 with strong domestic momentum, supported by favourable agricultural conditions and improving rural demand, while export performance remains an area to watch.
