Volvo Eicher Commercial Vehicles (VECV), the joint venture between Volvo Trucks and Eicher Trucks, reported a strong performance in July 2026 by selling 6,911 commercial vehicles, registering a 21.4% year-on-year (YoY) growth compared to 5,691 units sold in July 2025.

The company's growth was mainly driven by robust domestic demand for Eicher commercial vehicles, while Volvo Trucks also recorded healthy double-digit growth. Although exports declined slightly during the month, the strong domestic market helped VECV achieve impressive overall sales growth.

Eicher Commercial Vehicle Sales Rise 21.7%

Eicher-branded commercial vehicles sold 6,715 units in July 2026, up from 5,516 units in July 2025, recording a 21.7% YoY growth.

The brand witnessed steady demand across both light and heavy commercial vehicle segments, contributing significantly to VECV's overall performance.

Domestic Sales Lead the Growth Story

Eicher's domestic commercial vehicle sales reached 6,310 units in July 2026, compared to 5,101 units during the same month last year, representing a 23.7% increase.

The SCV/LMD truck segment emerged as the strongest performer with nearly 29% growth, while heavy-duty trucks also posted healthy gains, highlighting sustained demand across multiple commercial vehicle categories.

Export Sales Decline Marginally

Despite the strong domestic performance, Eicher's export business witnessed a slight decline in July 2026.

The company exported 405 units, compared to 415 units in July 2025, reflecting a 2.4% YoY decline.

Both SCV/LMD and heavy-duty export shipments recorded small declines during the month. However, the drop in exports had a limited impact due to strong domestic demand.

Volvo Trucks Records Double-Digit Growth

Volvo Trucks, operating under the VECV umbrella, sold 196 units in July 2026 compared to 175 units in July 2025.

This represents a 12.0% year-on-year growth, reflecting continued demand in the premium heavy-duty truck segment.

VECV Maintains Strong Growth Momentum

VECV delivered another strong monthly performance in July 2026, supported by rising domestic demand for Eicher commercial vehicles and steady growth in Volvo Trucks sales. While exports declined slightly, the company's strong domestic market performance more than compensated for the dip, helping VECV achieve overall sales growth of 21.4% during the month.
