Smart Token System Introduced for Fertilizer Distribution in Madhya Pradesh, Farmers to Get Fertilizer on Scheduled Time Without Long Queues

To ensure timely fertilizer availability for farmers during the Kharif season and make the fertilizer distribution process more transparent, systematic and farmer-friendly, the Narsinghpur district administration in Madhya Pradesh has introduced a new Smart Hybrid Token System for fertilizer distribution.

With the implementation of this system, farmers will no longer have to stand in long queues at fertilizer centers. Instead, they can book a token in advance either through a toll-free number or by visiting designated double-lock centers. The token will provide the farmer with a scheduled date, time and distribution center for collecting fertilizer, helping reduce crowding and making the entire process more organized.

Farmers Can Book Fertilizer Tokens Online and Offline

The newly introduced hybrid system allows farmers to obtain fertilizer tokens through both online and offline methods.

For online booking, farmers need to call the toll-free number 07792-181 and provide the following details:

• Name

• Mobile number

• Samagra ID

• Khasra number

• Village

• Tehsil

• Nearest fertilizer distribution center

Based on the availability of fertilizer stock, the administration will issue a token and send it to the farmer's registered mobile number via SMS. The message will contain complete details of the fertilizer distribution center, along with the scheduled date and time for collection. Farmers simply need to visit the assigned center at the specified time to collect fertilizer.

Offline Token Facility Also Available

To ensure that farmers without internet or smartphone access are not left behind, the administration has also introduced an offline token system.

Offline tokens will be distributed at the district's double-lock fertilizer centers every day except Sunday between 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM. These tokens will remain valid for three days from the following day after issuance. Farmers can also book offline tokens through the call center if required.

This dual approach aims to make fertilizer access easier for all farmers, regardless of their access to digital services.

Fertilizer Distribution to Follow a Transparent Procedure

Under the new system, fertilizer distribution will follow a uniform and transparent process across all authorized agencies. Government institutions, the Madhya Pradesh State Cooperative Marketing Federation, Marketing Federation centers, MP Agro centers and private fertilizer dealers will all be required to distribute fertilizers according to the prescribed guidelines.

Every fertilizer sale must be recorded on the online portal, and all required records must be maintained to ensure transparency and proper monitoring throughout the distribution process.

Fertilizer Distribution Centers Covered Under the New System

The Smart Token System has been implemented at several fertilizer distribution centers across Narsinghpur district, including:

• Narsinghpur Marketing Federation Double Lock Center

• Kareli Double Lock Center

• Karakbel Double Lock Center

• Gotegaon Double Lock Center

• Salichowka Double Lock Center

• Gadarwara Double Lock Center

• Marketing Federation Centers

• MP Agro Center, Narsinghpur

Each center will issue 100 tokens every day, and fertilizers will be distributed according to the recommended quantity prescribed for farmers.

District Collector Orders Strict Implementation

The District Collector has instructed all concerned officials to ensure the effective implementation of the Smart Token System so that farmers receive fertilizers without delay during the Kharif season.

According to the administration, the newly introduced hybrid token model strengthens the existing e-token system by making fertilizer distribution more efficient and organized. It is expected to eliminate unnecessary waiting time, reduce overcrowding at fertilizer centers and ensure smooth distribution during the peak agricultural season.

Madhya Pradesh Forms High-Level Committee to Review e-Vikas Fertilizer System

Along with introducing the Smart Token System, the Madhya Pradesh government has also taken another significant step to improve fertilizer distribution by constituting a high-level committee to review the e-Vikas (Distribution and Agricultural Fertilizer Supply Solutions) system.

The committee will be chaired by the Agriculture Production Commissioner and includes:

• Managing Director, Madhya Pradesh State Cooperative Marketing Federation

• Commissioner, Narmadapuram Division

• Collector, Narmadapuram

• Collector, Harda

• Deputy Secretary (Member-Secretary), Farmers Welfare and Agricultural Development Department

The committee has been formed to examine both the technical and practical aspects of the existing fertilizer distribution system.

Farmers Suggestions to Play an Important Role

The committee will also collect feedback from farmer organizations and farmer representatives, particularly from the Narmadapuram and Harda districts. It will study ways to make fertilizer distribution more scientific, transparent, simple and efficient.

If necessary, subject experts and other concerned officials will also be consulted before finalizing recommendations.

Report to Be Submitted Within One Week

The Madhya Pradesh government has directed the committee to submit its report and recommendations within one week.

Based on these recommendations, improvements are expected to be made in the e-Vikas system, enabling farmers to receive fertilizers more efficiently in the future. The government believes that combining the Smart Token System with improvements to the e-Vikas platform will create a more transparent, farmer-centric and well-organized fertilizer distribution system across the state.
