The schemes include a 60-day EMI moratorium, loan tenure of up to five years, attractive interest rates, and 50% EMI for the first two instalments on Backhoe Loaders. Hyundai Construction Equipment India has launched the Monsoon Mega Scheme for 3-24 ton excavators, offering attractive interest rates, up to 5-year loan tenure, and a 60-day moratorium. In partnership with Shriram Finance, the Mini Power-Packed Scheme provides up to 85% financing, seasonal repayment options, and a 2% EMI rebate. These limited-period offers are valid until 31 July 2026.
Mahindra and Kobelco have introduced limited-period monsoon finance offers on construction equipment. Mahindra's EarthMaster Backhoe Loader comes with no EMI for the first 60 days and loan tenure of up to 5 years. Kobelco offers up to 90% financing on 3-22 ton excavators, a 60-day moratorium, and 50% reduced EMI for the first two installments. These schemes help contractors manage cash flow during the monsoon season.
Delhi Mayor Flags Off 135 Electric Sanitation Vehicles to Boost Clean and Green Delhi Mission
The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) has added 135 electric sanitation vehicles under Delhi EV Policy 2.0 to improve waste collection and reduce carbon emissions. The fleet will operate across Rohini, Narela, Civil Lines, and Keshav Puram, with 46 vehicles deployed in Rohini. Mayor Pravesh Wahi also urged residents to adopt four-way waste segregation to improve recycling and reduce landfill waste.
Montra Electric Opens First e-SCV Dealership in West Bengal, Eviator Fleet Crosses 1,000 Units
Montra Electric has opened its first e-SCV dealership in Howrah, Kolkata, with Next Drive Mobility, offering sales, service, maintenance, and spare parts for the Eviator range. The expansion follows the milestone of 1,000+ Eviator vehicles on Indian roads. Available with 32 kWh, 40 kWh, and 50 kWh batteries, the Eviator offers a 1.7-tonne payload, 200+ km real-world range, and 60-minute fast charging.
Delhi Approves Parivartan Scheme to Replace Old Commercial Vehicles with BS-VI and EVs
The Delhi Government has approved the Parivartan Scheme to replace old commercial vehicles with cleaner BS-VI and electric vehicles. Around 2.07 lakh truck and bus owners will benefit from 100% road tax and registration fee exemption for 10 years, interest subsidies, and OEM discounts. New LGVs must be electric, while buses must be BS-VI CNG or EVs. A digital portal will streamline applications and support cleaner transport.
Euler Motors Partners with Green Drive Mobility to Expand Electric Logistics Network in India
Euler Motors has partnered with Green Drive Mobility to expand electric logistics across India. Around 50 electric cargo vehicles are already deployed, with 500 more planned this financial year in Delhi, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Chennai, and Hyderabad. Green Drive Mobility aims to operate 1,000 EV cargo vehicles by 2028. The partnership will promote zero-emission logistics through high-payload, fast-charging electric vehicles with advanced fleet management technology.
Billion Electric Partners with JK Cement to Deploy Over 150 Electric Trucks Across India
Billion Electric Mobility has partnered with JK Cement to deploy 150+ heavy-duty electric trucks this financial year, starting with a 20-truck pilot at the Muddapur plant in Karnataka. The trucks will transport cement across Karnataka, Maharashtra, and Goa. Supported by ChargeZone's charging network, the initiative aims to reduce logistics emissions, promote electric freight adoption, and accelerate the shift toward sustainable industrial transportation.

Ashok Leyland increased its R&D spending to ₹635.22 crore in FY26 to accelerate development of EVs, AI, connected mobility, and alternative fuel technologies. The company is building a battery pack plant near Chennai, monitoring 1.7 lakh connected vehicles with AI-based predictive maintenance, and expanding its electric truck portfolio. It also aims to maintain a 30.8% MHCV market share and achieve 25,000 exports in FY27.
Ashok Leyland Partners with Shriram Automall to Strengthen India's Used Commercial Vehicle Market
Ashok Leyland has partnered with Shriram Automall India Limited (SAMIL) to create a certified pre-owned commercial vehicle ecosystem in India. The collaboration will leverage SAMIL's auction and remarketing network to simplify buying and selling used CVs. Customers will also benefit from vehicle exchange, disposal, hybrid and special vehicle inspections, offering fleet operators and truck owners a more transparent and seamless ownership experience.
CAT, through Gainwell CAT, has launched the Monsoon Dhamaka Offer on selected construction equipment, including the CAT 120 Motor Grader and CAT 321, 322, and 324 excavators. The scheme offers interest rates starting at 7.99%, a 100-day EMI moratorium, and a 2-year/5,000-hour Equipment Protection Plan (EPP). The limited-period offer is valid across India until 30 September 2026.
EKA Mobility has launched its first fleet of 15 electric buses in Zanzibar, with commercial operations starting August 1. The fleet is expected to grow to 150 buses by the end of 2026 as part of the company's Africa expansion strategy. EKA, along with GRT and ZSSF, will train local staff in operations, maintenance, software, and safety to support sustainable public transport.
The Madhya Pradesh government has released ₹1,460.25 crore under PM Fasal Bima Yojana for Kharif 2025, benefiting 10.54 lakh farmers through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). TAFE Motors and DEUTZ Inaugurate New Engine Manufacturing Plant in Rajasthan
TAFE Motors has inaugurated a new engine manufacturing plant in Alwar, Rajasthan, in partnership with DEUTZ AG, marking their first manufacturing joint venture. The facility will produce DEUTZ-licensed 2.2L and 2.9L engines with an annual capacity of 35,000 assembled engines and 50,000 sub-assembly components. TAFE also plans to increase its total annual engine production from 4 lakh to 5.5 lakh units by 2030.
The Jabalpur administration has seized 60 bags of suspected DAP fertilizer and registered FIRs against two agriculture centre operators during a special Kharif inspection drive. Farmers have been advised to buy fertilizers only from authorised dealers, collect purchase bills, and avoid overpricing or black marketing. The seized fertilizer has been sent for testing, and strict legal action will be taken if it is found counterfeit.
The Maharashtra government has released the first beneficiary list under the Punyashlok Ahilyadevi Holkar Kisan Karj Mafi Yojana 2026, covering 533 farmers from seven districts. Aadhaar verification is mandatory before the loan waiver amount is credited directly to eligible loan accounts.
