Montra Electric opens its first e-SCV dealership in Howrah, Kolkata, in partnership with Next Drive Mobility.
The dealership offers sales, service, maintenance, and spare parts support for the Eviator range.
Montra Electric's Eviator fleet has crossed 1,000 vehicles across India.
The Eviator lineup includes 32 kWh, 40 kWh, and 50 kWh battery variants with a 1.7-tonne payload.
The electric SCV offers over 200 km real-world range and 80% fast charging in about 60 minutes using a CCS2 DC charger.
Montra Electric has expanded its electric commercial vehicle network by opening its first electric small commercial vehicle (e-SCV) dealership in West Bengal. The new dealership, launched in Howrah, Kolkata, has been set up in partnership with Next Drive Mobility and marks another important step in the company's efforts to strengthen electric cargo mobility across India.
The newly opened dealership will cater to the growing demand for electric last-mile logistics vehicles in West Bengal. Customers will get complete support under one roof, including vehicle sales, after-sales service, maintenance, and genuine spare parts for the Montra Electric Eviator range of electric small commercial vehicles.
The company aims to make EV ownership easier for commercial vehicle operators by providing better service accessibility and customer support in the region.
The dealership expansion comes at a significant milestone for Montra Electric, as the company's Eviator fleet has now crossed 1,000 vehicles across India. According to the company, this growing fleet is generating valuable operational data that will help improve products and support future market expansion plans.
Commenting on the expansion, Saju Nair, CEO, e-SCV, Montra Electric, said the company is entering the West Bengal market from a strong position after achieving the milestone of more than 1,000 Eviator vehicles nationwide.
He added that West Bengal's commercial vehicle fleet continues to rely heavily on diesel compared to many other parts of India, while electrification in the state is still at an early stage and has largely been limited to small commercial vehicles. The company sees this as a major opportunity to accelerate the adoption of electric cargo vehicles in the region.
The Montra Electric Eviator range is available in three variants:
E350 with a 32 kWh battery
E350L with a 40 kWh battery
E350L+ with a 50 kWh battery
All three variants offer a 1.7-tonne payload capacity and feature a 10.3-foot loading deck, making them suitable for a wide range of cargo transportation needs.
The Eviator delivers a real-world driving range of over 200 km on a single charge. It also supports CCS2 DC fast charging, allowing the battery to be charged from 0 to 80% in approximately 60 minutes, helping fleet operators reduce downtime.
With the opening of its first e-SCV dealership in West Bengal, Montra Electric is further expanding its nationwide presence while improving customer access to electric commercial vehicles. Combined with the growing Eviator fleet and dedicated sales and service support, the company is looking to strengthen electric last-mile cargo mobility and encourage greater EV adoption in one of India's key commercial transport markets.

The opening of Montra Electric's first e-SCV dealership in West Bengal marks another important milestone in the company's expansion strategy. With dedicated sales and after-sales support, the new facility is expected to boost the adoption of electric commercial vehicles for last-mile logistics in the state. Backed by an Eviator fleet of over 1,000 vehicles across India, Montra Electric is well-positioned to strengthen its presence and support the country's transition towards cleaner cargo transportation.
