The contract was announced on Saturday and formalised through a tripartite agreement between Paradeep Parivahan Limited, JSW Cement Limited, and JSW Eco-Mobility Private Limited.

Under the agreement, Paradeep Parivahan will operate a fleet of 100 electric heavy-duty trucks to transport clinker and slag for JSW's industrial operations. Clinker is a key material used in cement manufacturing, while slag is an industrial by-product that can be used in cement production.

The electric trucks will operate on a designated route connecting Nandyal in Andhra Pradesh with Vijayanagar in Karnataka. This route will support the movement of bulk industrial materials between the two locations.

Contract Covers 125,000 Tonnes of Cargo Every Month

The 10-year agreement requires Paradeep Parivahan to handle approximately 125,000 metric tonnes of cargo every month. The long-term arrangement is expected to support the regular transportation requirements of JSW's industrial operations.

By deploying electric heavy-duty trucks for bulk material movement, the partnership represents an application of electric mobility in industrial logistics, a segment that requires vehicles capable of handling heavy loads over established transport routes.

The agreement also brings together logistics operations, cement manufacturing requirements and electric mobility through the participation of the three companies.

Financial Details Remain Confidential

Paradeep Parivahan has not disclosed the financial value of the contract. The company cited confidentiality obligations under the agreement as the reason for withholding the commercial details.

With a 10-year duration, a fleet of 100 electric trucks and monthly cargo volumes of approximately 125,000 metric tonnes, the contract establishes a long-term framework for electric heavy-duty transportation between Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka.
