Tata Motors CV Sales April 2026: 34,833 Units Sold, 28% Growth Driven by Strong Demand
Tata Motors reported strong April 2026 CV sales of 34,833 units, up 28% YoY. Domestic sales rose 27.9% to 32,965 units, led by SCV Cargo & Pickup with 40.2% growth. HCV, ILMCV, and passenger segments also grew steadily. Exports increased 28.2% to 1,868 units, reflecting healthy demand both in India and international markets.
Mahindra CV & 3-Wheeler Sales Rise 22% in April 2026, Exports Grow 47%
Mahindra & Mahindra reported strong April 2026 sales with 33,326 domestic units, up 22% YoY. Growth was driven by an 81% surge in three-wheelers, while LCV <2T grew 13% and LCV 2T–3.5T rose 7%. Exports also jumped 47%, reflecting rising global demand and a strong start to FY27 across commercial vehicle segments.
VECV April 2026 Sales: 7,318 Units Sold, Registers 6.9% Growth
VE Commercial Vehicles Ltd. reported April 2026 sales of 7,318 units, up 6.9% YoY. Eicher brand sales grew 6.6%, supported by 17% rise in domestic CV demand. Volvo trucks recorded strong 23.3% growth. While domestic performance remained strong, exports declined, but overall growth reflects steady demand across key commercial vehicle segments.
Govt Proposes New Rules for Tractor ACs, Troop Carriers and Caravan Vehicles in India

IMD forecasts a below-normal 2026 monsoon at 92% of average, raising concerns for kharif and rabi crops, especially with a strengthening El Niño. Fertiliser supply is also under pressure due to global trade disruptions and export restrictions, while India remains import-dependent. Experts suggest policy reforms like direct per-acre payments to support farmers and improve resilience amid rising climate and supply uncertainties.

Mahindra & Mahindra reported strong tractor sales of 48,411 units in April 2026, up 21% YoY. Domestic sales grew 20% to 46,404 units, while exports surged 30% to 2,007 units. The growth came despite no Chaitra Navratri boost, reflecting steady farm demand and a strong start to FY27 for the company’s tractor business.
VST Tillers Tractors Reports Strong Growth in April 2026 Sales
VST Tillers Tractors Ltd. reported strong April 2026 sales of 3,483 units, up 50.13% YoY. Power tiller sales led growth, rising 55.32% to 3,111 units, while tractor sales increased 17.35% to 372 units. The overall performance was driven by improving rural demand and positive farm activity, marking a strong start to FY27.
