BharatBenz Opens New Service Centre in Silchar to Support Northeast Logistics
Daimler India Commercial Vehicles has opened a 30,000 sq ft BharatBenz service centre in Silchar, Assam, with PPS Trucking. The facility features eight bays, can service up to 3,000 vehicles annually, and is staffed by 32 technicians. India’s Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has cut commercial vehicle fitness certificate fees by 50%, reducing the cost from ₹5,000 to ₹2,500 under the Central Motor Vehicles (Fifth Amendment) Rules, 2026.
