In the domestic market, Escorts Kubota sold 10,398 tractors in April 2026. This figure represents a 27.6% increase from April 2025, when the company sold 8,148 units. The rise of 2,250 units highlights strong demand within India. Key factors driving this growth include positive farm sentiment, improved rural liquidity following a GST reduction, and adequate water reservoir levels.
However, the export segment saw a decline. Escorts Kubota exported 459 tractors in April 2026, down from 581 units in April 2025. This represents a 21% decrease in export sales year-on-year. Despite this drop, the overall sales volume increased due to robust domestic performance.
The domestic market's strong performance offset the decline in exports. Escorts Kubota's total sales in April 2026 reached 10,857 units, up from 8,729 units in April 2025. The company attributes this success to favorable market conditions and effective business strategies.
Looking ahead, several factors could impact future sales. Geopolitical tensions, rising input costs, and changing weather patterns, including emerging El Niño signals, may influence farmer sentiment and demand. The company remains cautious about these potential challenges in the near term.
Escorts Kubota is among the leading tractor manufacturers in India, competing with brands like Mahindra, Swaraj, Sonalika, and New Holland. The Indian tractor market is influenced by agricultural policies, weather conditions, and rural economic factors. Reliable information on tractor sales and industry trends helps farmers and stakeholders make informed decisions.
