Force Motors has partnered with the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) under the Delhi-NCR Commercial Vehicle Replacement Scheme to replace old BS-IV and earlier commercial vehicles with cleaner BS-VI and electric models. Mahindra CV & 3-Wheeler Sales Jump 44% in June 2026, Exports Surge 125% YoY
Mahindra reported strong commercial vehicle and three-wheeler sales in June 2026, with domestic sales rising 44% to 39,896 units. LCV sales grew 36% in the under-2-ton segment and 35% in the 2–3.5-ton segment, while three-wheeler sales jumped 63% to 13,820 units. Commercial vehicle exports more than doubled, surging 125% to 5,918 units, driven by strong demand in domestic logistics and international markets.
Ashok Leyland Launches New Air Suspension Heavy Trucks with Higher Payload Capacity
Ashok Leyland has launched three new air suspension heavy trucks, AVTR 4525, 4625, and 4925 MAV, for long-haul freight transport. Available in 45-tonne, 46-tonne, and 49-tonne GVW categories, the trucks offer up to 4 tonnes of additional payload, improved ride comfort, better stability, and lower operating costs. Standard features include Intelligent Vehicle Acceleration Control and Automatic Traction Control, helping fleet operators boost productivity, fuel efficiency, and overall profitability.
Eicher Trucks & Buses Signs MoU with MoRTH to Speed Up Fleet Modernization in Delhi-NCR
MoRTH and Eicher Trucks & Buses have partnered to modernize commercial vehicle fleets in Delhi-NCR by replacing BS-IV and older trucks and buses with BS-VI and electric models. Eicher will offer an 8% ex-showroom discount on eligible vehicles, while the government provides tax, registration, interest, and fuel incentives. Tata Motors sold 40,805 commercial vehicles in June 2026, recording a 35% year-on-year growth. Domestic CV sales increased 31% to 36,599 units, while exports surged 83% to 4,206 units. All major segments posted positive growth, with SCV Cargo & Pickup leading domestic performance at 37%, followed by HCV trucks at 31%. The strong results reflect healthy demand across logistics, infrastructure, passenger transport, and international markets.
VECV Sales Jump 32.6% in June 2026 as Domestic Demand, Exports and Volvo Trucks Drive Growth
VECV sold 7,227 commercial vehicles in June 2026, registering a 32.6% year-on-year growth. Eicher Commercial Vehicles recorded 32% growth with 6,977 units sold, while domestic sales rose 32.1% to 6,505 units. Exports increased 31.5%, led by a remarkable 384.2% surge in heavy-duty truck exports. Volvo Trucks also performed strongly, with sales rising 51.5% to 250 units, reflecting healthy demand across key commercial vehicle segments.
India's commercial vehicle industry posted strong wholesale growth in June 2026, driven by pre-buying, dealer discounts, easy financing, and improving freight demand. Mahindra Retains India's No.1 Electric CV Position, Sells 35,133 EVs in Q1 FY27 with 83.5% Growth
Mahindra Last Mile Mobility retained its position as India's No.1 electric commercial vehicle manufacturer, selling 13,134 EVs in June 2026 and 35,133 units in Q1 FY27. The company achieved a 32.4% market share in the L5 EV segment and an 83.5% year-on-year sales growth. Backed by a wide EV portfolio and strong nationwide support, Mahindra continues to lead India's transition toward sustainable last-mile mobility.
Delhi has approved a ₹15,000 crore EV Policy, effective from July 1, 2026, to March 31, 2030, to promote electric commercial vehicles. From January 1, 2027, only electric three-wheelers and N1 trucks can be newly registered. The policy offers subsidies of up to ₹50,000 for electric three-wheelers, ₹1 lakh for N1 electric trucks, scrappage incentives, and plans to install 32,000 EV charging points across the city.
ACE and Kato Launch ₹200 Crore Joint Venture to Manufacture Heavy-Duty Cranes in India
ACE and Kato Works have formed ACE KATO Private Limited, a 50:50 joint venture to manufacture heavy-duty cranes in India. The company will invest ₹200 crore in an 11-acre manufacturing facility in Haryana to produce trucks, crawlers, and rough terrain cranes. Combining Japanese engineering with Indian manufacturing, the venture will focus on localization, technology transfer, reduced import dependence, and exports while supporting India's growing infrastructure and industrial sectors.
The Rajasthan government has launched a pilot digital fertilizer booking system in Sirohi and Rajsamand, allowing farmers to book subsidized urea, DAP, and other fertilizers online. Under the Farmer Registry-based Framework for Fertilizer Sales, digital tokens valid for 48 hours will streamline distribution, reduce queues, and curb black marketing. With 86.66 lakh Farmer IDs already created, the initiative aims to ensure transparent, efficient, and farmer-friendly fertilizer distribution across the state.
The Central Government has launched the Krishika app, enabling farmers to apply for Kisan Credit Card (KCC) loans online without visiting bank branches. Eligible applications are targeted for approval within 15 days. Farmers need Aadhaar, land records, bank details, and other documents to apply. Managed by NABARD and connected to over 450 banks, the platform offers online tracking, faster processing, and easier access to agricultural credit.
Escorts Kubota Tractor Sales Grow 19.1% in June 2026; Q1 FY27 Sales Rise 20.5%
Escorts Kubota sold 13,695 tractors in June 2026, recording 19.1% year-on-year growth. Domestic sales rose 19.8% to 13,172 units, while exports increased 4.4% to 523 units. During Q1 FY27, total tractor sales climbed 20.5% to 36,862 units, driven by strong domestic demand and Kharif sowing. The company expects monsoon progress, El Niño conditions, and agricultural activity to influence tractor demand in the coming months.
Mahindra Tractor Sales Grow 12% in June 2026, Domestic Sales Reach 58,177 Units
Mahindra sold 59,935 tractors in June 2026, registering 12% year-on-year growth. Domestic sales rose 12% to 58,177 units, while exports increased 8% to 1,758 units. During April, June FY27, total tractor sales reached 1,58,041 units, up 18%. Mahindra expects government support measures, including fertilizer subsidies, to help farmers manage El Niño-related risks and sustain tractor demand during the Kharif season.
VST Tillers Tractors Reports 3% Sales Growth in June 2026, Power Weeder Sales Jump 39%
VST Tillers Tractors sold 8,107 units in June 2026, registering 3% year-on-year growth. Power tiller sales reached 6,671 units, while power weeder sales surged 39% to 1,001 units. Tractor sales declined 12.7% to 435 units. Despite the monthly drop in tractor sales, the company achieved strong year-to-date growth, with total sales rising 22.5% to 18,741 units, driven by increasing demand for farm mechanization equipment.
Goodyear India has launched the Ultra Grip tractor tyre in Chandigarh, designed to deliver better traction, durability, and longer tyre life for Indian farmers. Featuring a deeper tread, puncture-resistant construction, and cut- and chip-resistant rubber compound, it is currently available in the 14.9-28 size, with more sizes planned. The tyre will be sold through Goodyear India's dealer network to support efficient and reliable farming operations.
Sonalika and Solis recorded their highest-ever Q1 tractor sales in FY27, selling 53,661 units and registering 23.1% year-on-year growth. The company outpaced the estimated industry growth of 18.7%, crossed the 50,000-unit milestone in just three months, and emerged as the biggest domestic market share gainer. Strong farmer demand, innovation, and reliable after-sales support have positioned Sonalika for continued growth throughout FY27.
