All major commercial vehicle segments reported positive year-on-year growth.
Tata Motors has reported strong growth in its commercial vehicle (CV) business for June 2026. The company sold 40,805 commercial vehicles, registering a 35% year-on-year (YoY) growth compared to 30,238 units sold in June 2025.
The growth was driven by higher demand in both domestic and export markets. Domestic commercial vehicle sales increased by 31% to 36,599 units, while CV exports surged by 83% to 4,206 units during the month.
The company also recorded positive growth across all major commercial vehicle segments, including Heavy Commercial Vehicles (HCV), Intermediate, Light and Medium Commercial Vehicles (ILMCV), Passenger Carriers, and SCV Cargo & Pickup vehicles.

Tata Motors sold 36,599 commercial vehicles in the domestic market during June 2026, up from 27,936 units in June 2025. The 31% YoY growth reflects healthy demand across freight transportation, passenger mobility, construction, logistics, and last-mile delivery sectors.
The Heavy Commercial Vehicle (HCV) segment recorded sales of 9,645 units in June 2026, compared to 7,359 units in the same month last year, registering a 31% increase.
The segment continued to benefit from demand generated by infrastructure projects, construction activities, mining operations, and long-haul freight transportation.
Sales of Intermediate, Light and Medium Commercial Vehicles (ILMCV) reached 6,186 units, compared to 4,863 units in June 2025, reflecting a 27% YoY growth.
The improvement was supported by strong regional cargo movement and expanding distribution and logistics activities across the country.
The Passenger Carrier segment posted sales of 7,040 units, up from 5,658 units in June 2025, recording a 24% year-on-year growth.
Demand from employee transportation, educational institutions, and public mobility services continued to support sales during the month.
The SCV Cargo & Pickup category emerged as Tata Motors' best-performing domestic segment in June 2026.
Sales increased to 13,728 units, compared to 10,056 units in June 2025, delivering an impressive 37% YoY growth, the highest among all domestic commercial vehicle categories.
The segment benefited from rising demand from e-commerce companies, last-mile delivery services, and small business logistics.
Tata Motors also reported a strong performance in overseas markets.
The company exported 4,206 commercial vehicles in June 2026, compared to 2,302 units during June 2025. This represents an 83% year-on-year growth, making exports one of the biggest contributors to the company's overall commercial vehicle performance during the month.

Tata Motors delivered a strong commercial vehicle performance in June 2026, supported by healthy domestic demand and a sharp rise in exports. With every major vehicle category recording positive growth, the company achieved 40,805 total CV sales, reflecting broad-based momentum across the commercial vehicle market. The strong performance highlights Tata Motors' continued leadership in India's commercial vehicle industry and improving demand in both domestic and international markets.
