Ashok Leyland, the commercial vehicle arm of the Hinduja Group, has strengthened its presence in Maharashtra by opening a new light commercial vehicle (LCV) dealership in Ratnagiri. The new outlet is the company's 16th LCV dealership in the state and is part of its growing nationwide network of more than 950 customer touchpoints.
The expansion reflects Ashok Leyland's continued focus on improving customer access, strengthening after-sales support, and expanding its sales and service network across key markets in India.
The newly inaugurated dealership is operated by Lavekar Motors Pvt. Ltd. and is located near the Mahanagar CNG Pump in Ratnagiri.
Built as a modern 3S (Sales, Service, and Spares) facility, the dealership features eight quick service bays to provide faster maintenance and repair services. Customers can access vehicle sales, genuine spare parts, and after-sales support under one roof.

Speaking on the expansion, Viplav Shah, Head of LCV Business at Ashok Leyland, said Maharashtra remains one of the company's most important markets. He added that the new Ratnagiri dealership reflects Ashok Leyland's commitment to strengthening its presence in the region while offering customers reliable products backed by a strong dealer and service network.
He also highlighted that the company's LCV range is designed to deliver high mileage, dependable performance, and reliability, supported by efficient after-sales service.
Ashok Leyland said that more than 6 lakh light commercial vehicles are currently operating across India, highlighting the company's strong presence in the segment.
The company's LCV range is manufactured at its Hosur plant in Tamil Nadu, where all five product families are produced.
Ashok Leyland recently entered the sub-2-tonne commercial vehicle segment with the launch of the SAATHI. The entry-level small commercial vehicle is powered by a 45 HP engine that produces 110 Nm of torque.
According to the company, the SAATHI offers the largest loading area and the highest payload capacity of 1,120 kg in its segment, making it suitable for last-mile delivery and small business operations.
The BADA DOST range is built on a dedicated LCV platform and is available in seven variants:
The vehicle is powered by an 80 HP BS6 engine and is designed with a low turning radius and high ground clearance, making it suitable for both city deliveries and intercity transportation.

Designed for the 4-tonne payload segment, the PARTNER is available in both four-tyre and six-tyre configurations.

The vehicle is powered by the ZD30 CRDI engine, offering strong performance for medium-duty commercial transport.
The MiTR is built on the same platform as the PARTNER and is available in staff bus and school bus versions.
The school bus variant has been developed to comply with applicable safety norms, making it suitable for educational institutions and passenger transport.
