Monsoon progress and Kharif sowing remain key factors for future demand.
Escorts Kubota Limited's Agri Machinery Business reported a strong performance in June 2026, with total tractor sales increasing by 19.1% year-on-year. The company sold 13,695 tractors during the month, compared to 11,498 units in June 2025, supported by healthy demand in the domestic market.
The growth was mainly driven by improved wholesale and retail demand, along with the beginning of Kharif sowing in several parts of the country. While domestic demand remained strong, the company said the progress of the monsoon and the impact of El Niño will continue to influence demand in the coming months.

Escorts Kubota recorded strong growth across both domestic and export markets in June 2026. Domestic sales remained the biggest contributor to overall performance, while exports also posted steady gains.
Particulars | June 2026 | June 2025 | YoY Change |
Domestic Sales | 13,172 | 10,997 | 19.8% |
Export Sales | 523 | 501 | 4.4% |
Total Sales | 13,695 | 11,498 | 19.1% |
The company sold 13,172 tractors in the Indian market, up from 10,997 units a year earlier, reflecting a 19.8% increase. Export sales also improved to 523 units, compared to 501 units in June 2025, registering a 4.4% growth.
Escorts Kubota also reported a strong first quarter for FY27. During the April-June 2026 period, the company sold 36,862 tractors, compared to 30,581 units in the same period of FY26, registering an overall growth of 20.5%.
The quarterly performance was largely supported by higher domestic sales, although exports declined during the period.
Particulars | April-June FY27 | April-June FY26 | YoY Change |
Domestic Sales | 35,457 | 28,848 | 22.9% |
Export Sales | 1,405 | 1,733 | -18.9% |
Total Sales | 36,862 | 30,581 | 20.5% |
Domestic tractor sales reached 35,457 units, a 22.9% increase over the 28,848 units sold during the same period last year. However, exports declined by 18.9%, falling to 1,405 units from 1,733 units in the corresponding quarter of FY26.
The company's June performance highlights the resilience of India's tractor market despite weather-related uncertainties. Improved wholesale dispatches, healthy retail demand, and the start of Kharif sowing helped maintain positive sales momentum across key agricultural regions.
Strong rural demand continued to support the company's overall performance, making the domestic market the primary driver of growth during both June and the first quarter of FY27.
While the company delivered strong sales growth, it believes the pace of growth could moderate in the coming months. The delayed arrival of the southwest monsoon, the emerging impact of El Niño conditions, and rising agricultural input costs remain important factors that could influence tractor demand.
At the same time, Escorts Kubota noted that stable rural fundamentals, adequate reservoir levels, and continued agricultural activity provide a positive outlook for the tractor industry. The company's performance in the coming quarters will largely depend on monsoon progress and the pace of Kharif sowing across the country.
Escorts Kubota has started FY27 on a strong note, recording double-digit growth in both June and the first quarter. Robust domestic demand, improved wholesale and retail sales, and the beginning of Kharif sowing supported overall performance. Although export sales declined during Q1 and weather-related uncertainties remain, favourable rural conditions and healthy agricultural activity are expected to continue supporting India's tractor market in the months ahead.
