MP Kisan Kalyan Yojana: ₹3,308 Crore Released, Farmers Receive 14th and 15th Installments Together

In a major relief for farmers in Madhya Pradesh, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav transferred ₹3,308 crore directly into the bank accounts of more than 82.70 lakh farmers under the Mukhyamantri Kisan Kalyan Yojana (CM Kisan Kalyan Yojana). The amount was released during the Balram Krishi Mahotsav held in Khandwa through a single-click Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).

In a significant move, the 14th and 15th installments of the scheme were released together, allowing eligible farmers to receive ₹4,000 in one go. During the event, the Chief Minister also visited an exhibition showcasing modern agricultural technologies and encouraged farmers to adopt scientific, natural, and organic farming practices.

Farmers Receive ₹12,000 Annual Financial Assistance

Speaking at the event, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said the state government remains committed to improving farmers' income and welfare.

Under the Mukhyamantri Kisan Kalyan Yojana, eligible farmers receive ₹6,000 every year from the Madhya Pradesh government. Along with the ₹6,000 provided under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN), farmers receive a total annual financial assistance of ₹12,000.

The simultaneous release of two installments ensured that ₹4,000 reached farmers' bank accounts at once.

Daytime Electricity for Irrigation After the Monsoon

The Chief Minister also announced that after the current monsoon season ends, farmers in Madhya Pradesh will start receiving electricity for irrigation during the daytime in addition to night-time supply.

This initiative aims to reduce the need for farmers to travel to their fields at night, making irrigation safer, more convenient, and more efficient.

Irrigation Coverage Expands Across Madhya Pradesh

The state government is continuing to strengthen irrigation infrastructure across Madhya Pradesh.

According to the Chief Minister, the state's irrigated area has increased from 4.4 million hectares in 2002-03 to 6.5 million hectares today. More than 1 million hectares have been added to irrigation coverage in the last two and a half years, reflecting the government's focus on bringing more agricultural land under assured irrigation.

Government Targets Higher Milk Production

Along with agriculture, the Madhya Pradesh government is also promoting animal husbandry and dairy farming as an additional source of income for rural families.

The Chief Minister said the state's milk production currently stands at around 9%, and the government aims to increase it to 20% by encouraging dairy farming and livestock development.

2026 Declared as 'Farmer Welfare Year'

The Madhya Pradesh government is celebrating 2026 as the "Farmer Welfare Year" to promote modern farming methods and improve farmers' income.

As part of this campaign, Balram Krishi Mahotsavs are being organized across different districts, where farmers receive information about the latest agricultural technologies, government schemes, and improved farming practices.

Farmers Encouraged to Adopt Modern and Organic Farming

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav urged farmers to combine traditional knowledge with modern agricultural techniques.

He advised farmers to:

• Get their soil tested before selecting crops.

• Reduce dependence on chemical fertilizers.

• Adopt natural and organic farming methods.

• Practice crop diversification to reduce risks and improve farm income.

• Use drone technology for faster and more cost-effective spraying of fertilizers and seeds.

These measures, he said, can improve productivity while reducing cultivation costs.

How Farmers Can Check Their Installment Status

The financial assistance under the Mukhyamantri Kisan Kalyan Yojana is transferred directly to beneficiaries through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system.

Farmers can check whether the installment has been credited by:

• Updating their bank passbook.

• Checking through an ATM.

• Using mobile banking or net banking.

• Viewing their bank mini statement.

If the amount has not been received, farmers are advised to contact their nearest Agriculture Department office or their bank branch for assistance.
