Toyota, IVECO Partner to Develop Next-Gen Hydrogen Fuel Cell Trucks

Toyota and IVECO are developing next-generation hydrogen fuel cell trucks under the EU-funded EMPOWER project. Toyota will supply a combined 300 kW fuel cell system, while IVECO will handle vehicle development and validation. The S-eWay Fuel Cell targets over 900 km range and 25,000+ operating hours. Testing is scheduled from Q4 2026, with on-road trials planned for H1 2027, supporting future zero-emission long-haul transport.

Tejas Cargo Deploys Blue Energy Motors Electric Truck for Dalmia Cement Operations

Tejas Cargo India has deployed a Blue Energy Motors electric heavy-duty truck for Dalmia Cement’s logistics operations in Rajgangpur, Odisha. Blue Energy Motors says over 1,400 green heavy-duty trucks are already operating in India, covering 122 million+ green km and reducing more than 33,000 tonnes of CO₂ emissions. The deployment highlights growing electric truck adoption in industrial freight transportation.

SANY India showcased 31 machines, including 13 new launches, at BAUMA CONEXPO INDIA 2026. The lineup spans construction, mining, roads, ports, material handling and aerial equipment, with strong focus on electrification. Key launches include electric excavators, mining trucks, reach stackers, boom lifts, tractors and tippers. The 5565E electric tractor and 3555E tipper feature 462-kWh batteries.

JCB India Launches 10 New Machines at bauma CONEXPO INDIA 2026

JCB India launched 10 new construction equipment machines at BAUMA CONEXPO INDIA 2026, led by the 3DX, 3DX Plus and 3DX Super backhoe loaders. The company claims 21% better fuel efficiency across its backhoe range. Other launches include excavators, wheel loaders, tractors, gensets and access platforms. The 520X LC marks JCB India’s entry into the 50-tonne-class excavator segment.

Fresh Bus Launches Bengaluru-Hyderabad Electric Sleeper Bus Service

Fresh Bus has launched its first long-haul electric route between Bengaluru and Hyderabad, covering over 600 km. The service uses 13.5-metre AC sleeper electric buses with 36 berths, passenger amenities and safety features. Ultra-fast charging halts are planned along the route. Fresh Bus targets 18,000 monthly passengers, with occupancy expected to rise from 80% initially to around 90%.

Tata Motors Commercial Vehicle Prices to Rise by Up to 1% From October 2026

Tata Motors will hike commercial vehicle prices by up to 1% from October 1, 2026, citing rising commodity and input costs. The increase will vary by model and variant across utility vehicles, pickups, trucks and buses. Tata Motors has not disclosed model-wise revised prices, so the exact impact on buyers will depend on the specific vehicle and variant.

Tata Hitachi Launches Two New Excavators at BAUMA CONEXPO INDIA 2026

Tata Hitachi launched the NX30 neo and ZAXIS 40U mini excavators at BAUMA CONEXPO INDIA 2026, alongside a 13-machine display. The lineup includes the e-33U electric excavator, backhoe loaders, larger excavators and a wheel loader. The company also showcased attachments such as breakers and crushers, along with ConSite and InSite digital solutions for machine monitoring, fleet management and maintenance.

Gromax has launched the Trakstar NXG and Alpha Series tractors in Goa, targeting specialised farming applications. The NXG range includes three 20-30 HP 4WD models-520 NXG, 525 NXG and 530 NXG. Powered by 2-cylinder YANMAR engines, the tractors focus on smooth performance, low noise and vibration. Their compact design makes them suitable for orchards, vineyards and narrow farming spaces.

GoSun Moonrider 27 HP Electric Tractor Heads to the US With Solar Charging

GoSun and Moonrider have introduced the Moonrider 27 All-Electric Solar Tractor for the US market. It features a 27 HP electric motor, 24 kWh LFP battery and up to 5 hours of operation. An optional 1.1 kW solar array adds 1.5 hours of runtime. The tractor offers 750 kg hitch lift capacity, 540/540E PTO and 4WD for small-scale farming and utility work.

UPI Charge From October 15: Farmers Buying Seeds, Fertiliser Need to Know This

From October 15, 2026, UPI payments between individuals will remain free, while merchant payments up to ₹2,000 will have zero MDR. Eligible agricultural-input payments above ₹2,000 will attract a fixed ₹5 MDR, charged to merchants rather than farmers. Banks must ensure merchants do not pass this cost to customers. Farmers can continue using UPI for seeds, fertilisers, pesticides and other farm inputs without a separate fee.

BRICS New Delhi Declaration: 4 Major Agriculture Initiatives Farmers Should Know

The BRICS New Delhi Declaration highlights four new areas of agricultural cooperation, focusing on technology, knowledge sharing, climate-resilient farming and good agricultural practices. AI, digital tools and satellite technology could support better farm decisions, while cooperation may strengthen food security and agricultural trade. However, the declaration is not a direct subsidy or financial assistance scheme for farmers.

PM-KUSUM Big Change: Farmers Can Grow Crops and Earn from Solar Power on the Same Land

The next phase of PM-KUSUM is expected to include a dedicated agrivoltaics component, allowing farmers to grow crops while generating solar power on the same land. The initiative will focus on small and marginal farmers, FPOs and cooperatives. Around 29 lakh agricultural pumps have already been solarised. Research is testing 17 solar configurations across 30 crops, while nearly 70,000 Surya Mitras have been trained.
