Tejas Cargo India Limited has deployed a Blue Energy Motors electric heavy-duty truck for Dalmia Cement’s cement transportation operations in Rajgangpur, Odisha. The deployment brings together Dalmia Cement, Tejas Cargo India and Blue Energy Motors, marking another step in the use of electric heavy-duty trucks for commercial freight operations in India.

The electric truck, operated by Tejas Cargo India Limited, will support Dalmia Cement’s logistics requirements. The initiative highlights the increasing use of cleaner freight solutions across industries such as cement and infrastructure, where heavy-duty transportation plays an important role in supply-chain operations.

Electric Truck to Support Dalmia Cement Logistics

The deployment demonstrates how manufacturers, logistics companies and commercial vehicle manufacturers can work together to introduce cleaner mobility solutions into regular freight operations. Freight transportation is an important contributor to companies’ Scope 3 emissions, which cover indirect emissions across a business’s wider value chain.
