India's commercial vehicle market recorded 83,823 retail sales in May 2026, down 18.33% MoM but up 5.29% YoY. LCVs remained the largest segment with 50,348 units, growing 7.66% YoY. HCVs saw the sharpest monthly decline of 26.48%. Tata Motors led the market with a 35.32% share, followed by Mahindra & Mahindra at 26.61%. Exponent Energy has raised ₹200 crore ($21.1 million) in fresh funding, taking its total funding to $65.7 million since 2020. The Maharashtra government has expanded its loan waiver scheme to include 5 lakh farmers who missed benefits between 2017 and 2019. Under the Punyashlok Ahilya Devi Holkar Shetkari Karjmukti Yojana 2026, crop loans up to ₹2 lakh will be waived, while regular loan repayers will receive ₹50,000 assistance. Around 58 lakh farmers are expected to benefit, with ₹14,000 crore allocated for the newly included beneficiaries.
PM KUSUM Scheme: Rajasthan Farmers to Get ₹531 Crore Subsidy, 553 Solar Energy Producers to Benefit
The Central Government has approved ₹531 crore under PM-KUSUM Component C for Rajasthan, benefiting 553 solar energy producers. Of this, ₹379.41 crore will support 432 producers in the Jodhpur region, while ₹151.21 crore will benefit 121 producers in the Ajmer region. The subsidy will promote solar power generation, boost farmers' incomes, strengthen energy security, and further Rajasthan’s position as India’s third-largest state in PM-KUSUM Component C implementation.
