Montra Electric has announced the deployment of 100 electric reefer trucks in India in partnership with Green Drive Mobility and TVS Vehicle Mobility Solutions. The new fleet will support the quick commerce operations of More Retail and strengthen cold chain logistics with sustainable transportation solutions.
The deployment includes 100 units of Montra Electric's Eviator small electric truck, specially configured as reefer vehicles. These trucks are designed to transport temperature-sensitive products and can maintain temperatures ranging from -25°C to 25°C, making them suitable for groceries, dairy products, frozen foods, and other perishable goods.
The initiative is expected to improve delivery efficiency while reducing emissions in urban logistics operations.
For this deployment, Montra Electric is using the Eviator 350 variant. The electric truck is powered by a 32 kWh LFP battery pack that offers a claimed driving range of 130 km on a single charge.
The battery powers a rear-mounted electric motor that produces 80 kW of power and 300 Nm of torque. The vehicle also provides seating for three occupants in the cabin.
According to the company, the Eviator 350 has been developed specifically to meet the demanding requirements of urban cold chain transportation.
The Eviator features a 2.677-meter wheelbase and comes with a spacious cargo deck measuring:
Length: 3.145 meters (10.3 ft)
Width: 1.750 meters (5.7 ft)
Height: 2.020 meters (6.6 ft)
Montra Electric claims that the Eviator offers the largest loading deck in its segment. The truck has a maximum payload capacity of 1.7 tonnes, enabling operators to transport larger volumes of goods efficiently.
The Eviator lineup is available in multiple versions, including the 350L and 350X, while the 350 and 350L+ variants were introduced in April 2026.
Depending on the variant, the Montra Eviator comes equipped with several modern features, including:
Segment-first LED headlamps with daytime running lights
LED tail lamps
Digital instrument cluster
Touchscreen infotainment system
Air conditioning
USB charging port
For safety, the truck can be equipped with:
Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS)
Hill Hold Assist
Reverse parking camera
Fog lamps
Commenting on the deployment, Saju Nair said that cold chain logistics is one of the most demanding areas of urban transportation, where performance, precision, and uptime are critical.
He added that the Eviator 350 has been developed as a purpose-built solution that combines refrigeration capabilities with electric mobility, helping businesses operate more efficiently while supporting sustainable logistics.
With the deployment of 100 electric reefer trucks, Montra Electric is expanding its presence in the electric commercial vehicle segment while addressing the growing demand for cleaner and more efficient cold chain logistics. The partnership with Green Drive Mobility, TVS Vehicle Mobility Solutions, and More Retail highlights the increasing adoption of electric vehicles in India's quick commerce and last-mile delivery ecosystem.
Montra Electric's deployment of 100 Eviator 350 electric reefer trucks marks a significant step toward greener cold chain logistics in India. The fleet will help More Retail transport temperature-sensitive products efficiently while reducing emissions. With a 1.7-tonne payload, 130 km range, and advanced features, the Eviator 350 is designed to meet the demanding needs of urban logistics. The partnership also highlights the growing adoption of electric commercial vehicles across India.
