For FY25-26, subsidies are capped at ₹12,500 per vehicle, with overall support of ₹50 crore. L5 e-3Ws will get ₹50,000 subsidy till November 7, 2024, reduced to ₹25,000 till March 31, 2026, with ₹857 crore allocated. SIAM Urges Govt to Include N1 Category in PM e-Drive Scheme

​SIAM has urged the government to include N1 category light commercial vehicles (LCVs) up to 3.5 tonnes under the PM e-Drive scheme. These vehicles, forming 60% of the CV industry, are crucial for last-mile delivery and urban logistics, typically traveling 60–200 km daily—making them ideal for electrification. Inclusion would cut carbon emissions, lower operating costs, and benefit small businesses.
