Zuperia Auto launches Youdha EPOD, a new three-seater electric passenger vehicle.
Expands portfolio to cargo, garbage, and municipal service E3Ws.
Kashipur plant upgraded to produce one lakh vehicles annually.
Dual-brand strategy: Youdha for mass market, Lohia for premium segment.
Aims to reach ₹1,000 crore revenue by 2030 with wider market penetration.
Zuperia Auto Pvt. Ltd, formerly known as the Lohia brand, has made a bold move in India’s electric vehicle (EV) market by launching its new flagship electric three-wheeler (E3W) passenger vehicle, the Youdha EPOD. This launch signals the company’s shift from e-rickshaws to a wider E3W range, aiming to capture a bigger share of India’s fast-growing EV segment.
The Youdha EPOD is a three-seater designed for performance, comfort, and reliability. It is aimed at India’s last-mile mobility market, valued at nearly ₹90,000 crore. While the Youdha brand targets the mass market, the Lohia brand will continue as a premium offering under Zuperia’s new dual-brand strategy.
Zuperia’s E3W portfolio extends beyond passenger vehicles. It also includes cargo loaders, garbage disposal vehicles, and municipal service models. The company is already collaborating with urban local bodies to support sustainable logistics and waste management solutions.
Zuperia’s Kashipur plant in Uttarakhand, which has an annual production capacity of one lakh vehicles, is being upgraded with fresh capital to support innovation and scale.
CEO Ayush Lohia emphasized the company’s broader vision:
“The challenge is not just making an electric vehicle, it’s about creating an ecosystem around it. Our goal is to deliver products that address real-world needs, from battery life to load capacity and durability in Indian conditions.”
Currently, Zuperia holds a strong position in the e-rickshaw market with over 12 variants. The company aims to reach ₹1,000 crore in revenue by 2030 by leveraging its dual-brand approach and wider market penetration.
Industry experts highlight that while the EV market in India is growing rapidly, challenges remain. These include financing access, charging infrastructure, and rugged engineering suitable for Indian conditions.
With the Youdha EPOD launch and a growing portfolio in municipal and cargo solutions, Zuperia Auto is positioning itself to take on established rivals like Mahindra, Bajaj, and TVS, and lead the next phase of growth in India’s electric three-wheeler market.

With the launch of the Youdha EPOD and expansion into cargo and municipal vehicles, Zuperia Auto is set to strengthen its presence in India’s electric three-wheeler market. By combining mass-market and premium offerings, upgrading manufacturing capabilities, and focusing on real-world performance, the company aims to overcome challenges and emerge as a key player in India’s growing EV ecosystem.
