The company plans to invest a mid-three-digit million-euro amount to expand manufacturing, engineering, sales, and service capabilities, targeting €1 billion in defence revenue by 2028. Ashok Leyland and Switch Mobility have become the first OEMs to join the Delhi-NCR commercial vehicle replacement scheme under an MoRTH MoU. Eligible truck and bus owners can avail an 8% vehicle discount, a 5% loan interest subsidy, monthly fuel vouchers for five years, tax exemptions, and registration fee waivers. The scheme encourages replacing BS-IV and older vehicles with cleaner BS-VI or electric models to reduce pollution and modernize commercial fleets.

UltraTech Rolls Out 45 Electric Trucks, Set to Replace 2.9 Million Litres of Diesel Annually
UltraTech Cement has deployed 45 electric heavy-duty trucks for clinker transportation across a 250-km route connecting Rajasthan, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh. Each truck can carry up to 55 tonnes and is expected to help reduce over 8,900 tonnes of CO₂ emissions while replacing nearly 2.9 million litres of diesel annually. The initiative strengthens UltraTech’s green logistics network and supports the adoption of long-haul zero-emission freight transportation in India.
CASE Launches New 3-Ton D Series Mini Excavators with Enhanced Performance and Versatility
CASE Construction Equipment has launched three new 3-ton D Series mini excavators, CX30D, CX34D, and CX38D. Featuring a zero-tail swing design, the machines are built for efficient operation in confined spaces. They offer an automotive-style cab with ergonomic controls, enhanced visibility, and simplified maintenance. The CX38D adds advanced hydraulic functions, auto-idle throttle control, and a long arm. Tata Motors Announces Price Hike for Commercial and Passenger Vehicles from July 1
Tata Motors will increase commercial vehicle prices by up to 2.5% and passenger vehicle prices by up to 1.5% from July 1, 2026, due to rising commodity and input costs. The price hike will vary by model and variant and apply across trucks, buses, ICE vehicles, and EVs. Customers can still purchase vehicles at current prices until June 30, 2026, before the revised pricing comes into effect.
Tata Motors has joined the MoRTH Commercial Vehicle Replacement Scheme for Delhi-NCR, signing an MoU on June 18, 2026. The company will offer an 8% ex-showroom discount on eligible trucks and buses, while EV discounts will match equivalent ICE vehicle categories. The scheme aims to replace older, high-emission commercial vehicles with cleaner alternatives, helping reduce pollution. Buyers may also benefit from additional government scrapping and replacement incentives.

The Uttar Pradesh government has launched the Chief Minister's Swadeshi Gau Samvardhan Yojana, offering up to ₹80,000 subsidy (up to 40% of cost) for purchasing two high milk-yielding indigenous cows such as Gir, Sahiwal, Tharparkar, and Haryana breeds. The scheme reserves 50% of benefits for women dairy farmers. Tractor Industry Growth Likely to Slow in FY27, ICRA Projects 1-4% Growth Amid Monsoon Concerns
ICRA expects India’s tractor industry to grow by only 1-4% in FY27 after a strong 23.5% growth in FY26. While May 2026 wholesale sales rose 19.3% year-on-year, concerns over a weaker monsoon, with IMD forecasting rainfall at 90% of the long-period average, may affect demand. The extension of stricter emission norms for 30-50 HP tractors to April 2028 is also expected to reduce pre-buying activity, though profitability should remain stable.
Mahindra Crosses 70 Lakh Tractor Production Milestone, Plans Major Product Expansion in FY27
Mahindra & Mahindra’s Farm Equipment Business has crossed the milestone of producing 70 lakh tractors, reinforcing its leadership in farm mechanisation. The company sold over 5.26 lakh tractors in FY26, offers more than 350 models and variants, and operates in over 50 countries. Looking ahead to FY27, Mahindra plans to launch seven new tractors and introduce 12 new features while continuing to invest in smart farming technologies and global expansion.
MSP Procurement Approved for Moong, Urad and Groundnut: Farmers in 4 States to Get Big Benefit
The Central Government has approved MSP procurement of moong, urad, and groundnut in Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, and Haryana under the Price Support Scheme. Uttar Pradesh will receive the largest benefit, with procurement worth over ₹1,490 crore. Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, and Haryana have also received approvals and enhanced procurement limits. The move aims to ensure fair prices for farmers, boost incomes, and encourage pulse and oilseed cultivation across the country.
