CASE Construction Equipment has expanded its compact equipment lineup with the launch of three new D Series mini excavators in the 3-ton category - the CX30D, CX34D and CX38D. The new machines were previewed during CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2026 and are designed to deliver strong performance, precision, operator comfort and attachment versatility for a wide range of construction applications.
These compact excavators are built to work efficiently in confined spaces while offering the power needed for demanding jobs. With their zero-tail swing design, operators can safely work close to walls, structures and other obstacles, helping improve productivity on busy jobsites.
The new CASE mini excavators are engineered to provide the right balance of power and control. Their compact dimensions allow operators to maneuver easily in restricted areas where larger machines may struggle to operate.
The zero-tail swing design reduces the risk of contact with nearby objects, making these machines suitable for urban construction projects, landscaping work, utility installations and other applications that require precision in limited spaces.
CASE has focused heavily on operator comfort and ease of use in the new D Series models. The excavators feature an automotive-style cab designed to improve the overall working experience during long operating hours.
The cab includes ergonomic controls, a comfortable suspension seat and excellent all-around visibility, allowing operators to work more efficiently while maintaining better awareness of their surroundings. A two-piece roll-up front window is also available on all three models equipped with a cab, improving visibility and enabling easier communication with workers outside the machine.
Maintenance has also been simplified through conveniently placed service access panels and a tilting cab design, helping reduce downtime and making routine inspections easier.
Each of the three excavators comes with features designed to meet varying operational needs.
The CX38D, which is the top model in the range, includes a long arm with a thumb bracket, hydraulic auxiliary flow control and electronic throttle control with auto idle. These features help improve efficiency, productivity and fuel-conscious operation.
For better visibility in low-light working conditions, both the CX30D and CX38D are equipped with an industry-leading lighting package, helping operators continue working safely during early morning, evening or poor-light conditions.
One of the biggest highlights of the new CASE mini excavators is their attachment compatibility. The machines can be paired with a wide variety of attachments used for digging, trenching, grading, dirt moving, vegetation management and other construction tasks.
The CX38D can also be equipped with an optional 6-way dozer blade, making grading and backfilling operations easier and more efficient.
To support quick attachment changes, all three models feature multifunction one-way and two-way hydraulics along with a second two-way auxiliary hydraulic circuit. Operators can also opt for a third hydraulic circuit and a constant-flow circuit for running specialized, high-demand hydraulic attachments.
Additionally, a hydraulic pin grabber coupler provision comes standard across all three models, allowing operators to swap attachments quickly and minimize downtime between tasks.
