Mahindra & Mahindra's Farm Equipment Business (FEB) has achieved a major milestone by crossing the production mark of 70 lakh tractors. The achievement highlights the company's strong presence in the farm mechanisation sector and its continued growth in both domestic and international markets.

With more than six decades of operations, Mahindra Farm Equipment Business has built a strong reputation in the agricultural machinery industry. The company operates through three major brands, Mahindra Tractors, Swaraj Tractors, and Gromax, and offers over 350 tractor models and variants along with an expanding range of farm machinery products.

Strong Manufacturing and R&D Network

Mahindra Tractors, established in 1963, is India's largest tractor brand. The company has manufacturing facilities in Mumbai, Nagpur, Zaheerabad, Rudrapur, Jaipur, and Rajkot, while its research and development activities are based in Chennai.

Swaraj Tractors, which developed India's first indigenous tractor in 1974, operates manufacturing, foundry, and R&D facilities in Mohali. Meanwhile, Gromax Agri Equipment Ltd., a joint venture between Mahindra & Mahindra and the Government of Gujarat, manufactures tractors under the Trakstar and Hindustan brands.

FY26 Performance Supports Growth

The 70 lakh production milestone comes after a strong financial year for the company. During FY26, Mahindra Farm Equipment Business recorded annual tractor sales of more than 5.26 lakh units, reinforcing its leadership position in the tractor industry.

The company also expanded its product lineup during the year with the introduction of new models and upgrades, including the Mahindra 585 YUVO TECH+ V1, Mahindra NOVO Premium Edition, and Swaraj Protek. At the same time, Mahindra continued the international expansion of its OJA tractor range.

Presence Across Global Markets

Mahindra FEB currently operates in more than 50 countries and continues to maintain its position as the world's largest tractor manufacturer by volume. The company's growing global footprint reflects increasing demand for its products across different agricultural markets.

Seven New Tractors Planned for FY27

Looking ahead, Mahindra has outlined ambitious expansion plans for FY27. The company intends to launch seven new tractors and introduce 12 new features across the Mahindra Tractor and Swaraj Protek ranges.

In addition to new product launches, Mahindra will continue investing in smart agricultural machinery and technology-driven solutions aimed at improving efficiency across the farming value chain. The company expects these innovations to support modern farming needs while strengthening its leadership in the agricultural equipment industry.

The 70 lakh tractor production milestone marks another important chapter in Mahindra's journey and highlights its continued focus on innovation, manufacturing excellence, and farm mechanisation across India and global markets.
