Under the Krishi Yantra Subsidy Scheme 2025, the Department of Agriculture provides subsidies to different farmer categories (SC/ST, small, marginal, and general) ranging from 40 to 50 percent on approved agricultural implements.
Taking this forward, the state government has now extended support to landless agricultural labourers, giving them direct financial aid of Rs 5,000 to help them purchase modern farming tools and machinery.
The main goal of this scheme is to:
Improve the economic condition of landless labourers
Make them technically empowered
Help them become self-dependent
Enable them to earn better livelihoods using modern agricultural tools
To avail of this subsidy, the applicant must:
Be a landless agricultural labourer
Have no cultivable land in their name
Ensure their mobile number and bank account are linked with Jan Aadhar
A selection committee will be formed at every Gram Panchayat level with the following members:
Sarpanch (Chairperson)
Agriculture Supervisor (Member Secretary)
BDO and Patwari (Members)
Each Gram Panchayat will receive specific targets. Only one application per Jan Aadhar will be accepted. Special priority will be given to:
Women agricultural labourers
SC/ST candidates
BPL card holders
Committee-selected applicants must apply through the "Raj Kisan Sathi" mobile app using their Jan Aadhar number.
After administrative approval, the labourer must buy the selected equipment from registered firms within 45 days.
A physical verification will be conducted by the Assistant Agriculture Officer and Agriculture Supervisor.
After successful verification, the Rs 5,000 subsidy will be transferred directly to the worker’s bank account.
