India’s domestic tractor industry recorded strong momentum in November 2025. Supported by positive rural sentiment, Rabi crop preparation, and improved financing, wholesale tractor sales reached 92,745 units, up from 71,300 units in November 2024, reflecting a 30.08% year-on-year growth. While overall volumes improved, market share movement showed competitive shifts between brands.

Mahindra & Mahindra remained the industry leader with 42,273 units, up from 31,746 units, recording 33.16% growth. The company strengthened its lead as market share increased from 44.52% to 45.58%, gaining 1.06 percentage points.
TAFE Group, including the Massey Ferguson and Eicher brands, sold 15,088 units, up from 11,918 units, marking 26.60% growth. However, its market share dropped slightly from 16.72% to 16.27%, a marginal loss of 0.45 percentage points.
Sonalika reached 10,849 units, rising from 8,812 units, achieving 23.12% growth. The company’s market share came down from 12.36% to 11.70%, declining 0.66 percentage points.
Escorts Kubota recorded 10,122 units, compared to 8,730 units last year, reflecting 15.95% growth. Its market share reduced from 12.24% to 10.91%, indicating a 1.33 percentage point decrease.
John Deere posted 8,788 units, up sharply from 5,508 units, achieving the highest growth rate of 59.55% among leading players. Its market share jumped from 7.73% to 9.48%, marking the largest gain of 1.75 percentage points.
New Holland achieved 3,701 units, up from 3,014 units, giving 22.79% growth. Its market share declined slightly from 4.23% to 3.99%, losing 0.24 percentage points.
VST reported 450 units, compared to 284 units, achieving 58.45% growth. Market share improved from 0.40% to 0.49%, gaining 0.09 percentage points.
Indo Farm sold 428 units, up from 362 units, showing 18.23% growth. Despite volume improvement, market share reduced from 0.51% to 0.46%, falling 0.05 percentage points.
SDF reached 79 units, compared to 62 units, showing 27.42% growth. Market share remained unchanged at 0.09%, indicating stable presence.
Captain Tractors achieved 317 units, up from 234 units, registering 35.47% growth. Its market share increased slightly from 0.34% to 0.33%, reflecting a 0.01 percentage point gain.
Preet recorded 412 units, rising from 373 units, marking 10.46% growth. However, its market share reduced from 0.52% to 0.44%, down by 0.08 percentage points.
ACE was the only manufacturer to report a decline. It sold 238 units, down from 257 units, reflecting a 7.39% drop. Its market share slipped from 0.36% to 0.26%, losing 0.10 percentage points.
The domestic tractor industry demonstrated strong demand momentum in November 2025. Rising rural confidence, crop season requirements, and supportive financing helped most brands improve sales. Despite some market share losses, overall industry sentiment remains positive as India enters the peak Rabi season, indicating sustained demand ahead.
