Fieldmarshal P.M. Diesels has launched India’s first ARAI-certified TREM V-compliant single-cylinder diesel engines in 15 HP and 18 HP ratings. Designed for compact tractors and agricultural machinery, the new engines feature an indigenously developed exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) system to meet current emission standards.
Indigenous EGR Technology and Engine Features
The new TREM V engine platform has been developed to meet the requirements of agricultural applications. It features compact packaging, enhanced cooling systems and a low-maintenance design, making it suitable for compact tractors and other agricultural equipment.
Fieldmarshal has also filed multiple national patent applications covering its TREM V engine technology. These applications reflect the company’s focus on developing indigenous engineering solutions for India’s agricultural machinery sector.
Fieldmarshal Targets Below-20 HP Tractor Market
The engine launch supports Fieldmarshal’s plans to expand its presence in India’s specialised below-20 HP tractor segment through its Shridev tractor brand.
The company currently offers Shridev tractors in 12 HP, 15 HP and 18 HP configurations. With the introduction of its ARAI-certified TREM V engines, Fieldmarshal aims to strengthen its position in this market and capture a 10% to 15% share of the below-20 HP tractor segment over the next three years.
Commenting on the launch, Rishi Patel, Director at Fieldmarshal, said, “The launch of our ARAI TREM V-compliant 15 HP and 18 HP single-cylinder engines, together with our multiple national patent filings around the technology, demonstrates the growing capabilities of indigenous Indian engineering.”
