Key Highlights:
Montra Electric, the EV brand under TI Clean Mobility (a Murugappa Group company), launched its new electric cargo three-wheeler, the SUPER CARGO, in Delhi. The vehicle is designed for last-mile delivery applications and is priced at ₹ 4.37 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi post-subsidy).
Designed for Growing Urban Logistics
The launch event saw the presence of TI Clean Mobility MD Jalaj Gupta, CEO Saju Nair, and Business Head Roy Kurian. Over 200 delivery MoUs were signed at the launch, highlighting the strong interest from fleet operators and logistics businesses. Delhi’s rapidly expanding logistics and e-commerce sector has increased the demand for reliable and sustainable last-mile cargo solutions. The SUPER CARGO has been launched to meet this demand, offering a real-world driving range of 170 km on a single charge.
Fast Charging and High Utility
The electric three-wheeler comes equipped with a 13.8 kWh lithium-ion battery with a certified range of over 200 km. Thanks to a collaboration with Exponent Energy, two models of the SUPER CARGO support 15-minute 100% fast charging, giving businesses an edge in time-sensitive operations.
The SUPER CARGO electric three-wheeler delivers 11 kW peak power and 70 Nm torque, offering 23% gradeability, which is ideal for city driving. The vehicle can handle a gross vehicle weight of 1.2 tonnes, supported by a durable Boron Steel chassis and a 6.2-foot load tray.
Multiple Variants and Features
The SUPER CARGO is available in three body types:
Safety and usability are key highlights. It features:
Customers can choose from four colour options: Chilli Red, Steel Grey, Indian Blue, and Stallion Brown. Montra Electric also offers a 5-year/1.75 lakh km battery warranty for added peace of mind.
Nationwide Availability
The SUPER CARGO is now open for bookings in over 90 cities via Montra Electric’s exclusive dealership network. The company plans to expand its charging infrastructure alongside Exponent Energy to ensure widespread support for users.
Leadership insights:
Speaking at the event, MD Jalaj Gupta said, “SUPER CARGO is our step into the crucial last-mile delivery segment, completing our presence across the EV spectrum, from passenger to mid- and heavy-duty commercial vehicles. As a Tru-EV brand, our mission is to power India’s transition to sustainable mobility.”
Business Head Roy Kurian added, “The SUPER CARGO is thoughtfully engineered for both fleet owners and entrepreneurs. With features like 15-minute charging, it meets the real-world needs of B2B logistics.”
Exponent Energy’s co-founder, Arun Vinayak, highlighted the importance of their charging partnership, stating, “This collaboration will enhance asset utilization and support Montra’s vision for clean mobility.”
With this launch, Montra Electric continues to build on its EV portfolio, which includes the SUPER AUTO passenger three-wheeler, RHINO electric truck, EVIATOR mid-mile commercial vehicle, and E-27 electric tractor. The SUPER CARGO aims to serve as a practical, eco-friendly, and high-efficiency option for India's urban cargo movement.

CMV360 Says
The launch of the SUPER CARGO by Montra Electric in Delhi seems well thought out, especially for the kind of challenges seen in last-mile deliveries. A 170 km real-world range and 15-minute full charging can genuinely help both small businesses and fleet operators who need quick turnaround times. It’s also good to see a company like Murugappa focusing on practical EV solutions that match what the market needs, rather than pushing features that look good only on paper.
