While VFRYT provides a technology-driven platform for booking commercial vehicles, Montra Electric will support its operations with electric cargo vehicles designed for urban and intra-city goods transportation.

VFRYT Launches Technology-Enabled Commercial Vehicle Booking Platform

VFRYT has introduced an on-demand commercial transportation platform designed to bring the convenience of app-based ride-hailing services to the goods transportation sector. Through a single digital platform, customers can book different types of cargo vehicles depending on their requirements. These include smaller vehicles for last-mile deliveries as well as larger commercial trucks for transporting goods.

VFRYT's Initial Fleet to Include Around 185 Electric Vehicles

VFRYT's initial fleet will comprise approximately 185 electric vehicles, including the 50 newly inducted Montra Electric vehicles. The company will deploy these vehicles through its network of channel mobility partners. The platform will bring together both organised fleet operators and individual owner-cum-driver partners, allowing different types of vehicle owners to participate in its transportation network.

This operating model is expected to improve vehicle availability while creating additional business opportunities for individual commercial vehicle owners and mobility partners.

Apart from electric vehicles, VFRYT will also provide diesel and CNG commercial vehicle options. This will allow customers to select vehicles according to their transportation requirements, operating conditions and business needs. The company plans to gradually expand its services across Chennai before entering other parts of India in the coming years.
