Positive Farm Sentiment Supports Demand

According to Escorts Kubota, growth momentum remained strong across both wholesale and retail channels during May. The company attributed this performance to favorable farm sentiment, improving reservoir levels, and continued strength in rural demand.

At the same time, the company highlighted several factors that could impact demand ahead of the upcoming Kharif season. These include rising input costs, softer prices of certain cash crops, and ongoing geopolitical developments.

Construction Equipment Business Records 40.2% Growth

Escorts Kubota's Construction Equipment Division also delivered an impressive performance during May 2026.

The division sold 450 machines during the month, compared to 321 units in May 2025, resulting in a 40.2% year-on-year increase.

CMV360 Says

Escorts Kubota delivered a strong start to FY27 with double-digit growth in both tractor and construction equipment sales. Strong domestic tractor demand, positive rural sentiment, improving reservoir levels, and infrastructure-led equipment utilisation helped drive volumes higher. While domestic markets remain supportive, declining exports, rising input costs, softer cash crop prices, and geopolitical uncertainties will remain key factors influencing business performance in the months ahead.
