Construction Equipment Sales June 2025: JCB Leads But Market Share Drops
Construction equipment sales rose in June 2025, with strong growth from Liugong, CASE, and Tata Hitachi despite JCB’s decline.

The Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations (FADA) has released the construction equipment retail sales data for June 2025. As per the report, 8,558 construction equipment units were sold across India, a notable rise from 5,523 units in June 2024, indicating strong growth in demand.
This data is compiled in partnership with the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways (MoRTH), using registration records from 1,385 out of 1,445 RTOs across the country. Telangana (TS) data was not included in this report.

Brand-Wise Analysis
JCB India Ltd
JCB retained the top spot with 2,389 units sold in June 2025. However, its market share dropped sharply from 45.86% in June 2024 to 27.92%, due to increased competition and reduced sales.
Action Construction Equipment Ltd (ACE)
ACE secured the second position with 884 units, up from 734 units last year. However, its market share fell slightly to 10.33% from 13.29%.
Ajax Engineering Ltd
Ajax reported impressive growth by selling 649 units, nearly doubling from 340 units last year. This helped raise its market share to 7.58%, up from 6.16%.
Escorts Kubota Ltd (CE Division)
Escorts sold 510 units in June 2025, up from 426 in June 2024. But due to higher market volume, its share dropped from 7.71% to 5.96%.
CASE New Holland CE (India) Pvt Ltd
CASE saw strong performance, with sales increasing from 121 units to 473 units. Its market share more than doubled, reaching 5.53%.
Liugong India Pvt Ltd
Liugong posted impressive growth by selling 469 units, up from just 70 units last year. Its market share jumped from 1.27% to 5.48%.
Tata Hitachi Construction Machinery Pvt Ltd
Tata Hitachi saw strong sales growth from 109 to 390 units, increasing its share from 1.97% to 4.56%.
Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd (CE Division)
Mahindra improved significantly, growing from 106 units to 340, pushing its share from 1.92% to 3.97%.
Schwing Stetter (India) Pvt Ltd
Schwing Stetter more than doubled its sales from 86 to 257 units, boosting its share to 3.00%.
Indo Farm Equipment Ltd
Indo Farm also recorded strong growth, rising from 58 to 256 units. Its market share climbed from 1.05% to 2.99%.
Caterpillar India Pvt Ltd
Caterpillar’s sales grew slightly from 174 to 246 units. However, its market share dipped to 2.87% from 3.15%.
Bull Machines Pvt Ltd
Bull Machines increased its sales from 81 to 194 units, and its share improved from 1.47% to 2.27%.
All-Terrain Crane
This segment grew from 94 to 155 units. Market share remained stable, rising from 1.70% to 1.81%.
Doosan Bobcat India Pvt Ltd
Doosan Bobcat posted a massive jump in sales—from 33 to 130 units. Its market share rose from 0.60% to 1.52%.
Volvo CE India Pvt Ltd
Volvo CE also improved, selling 103 units in June 2025 compared to 41 units in June 2024, pushing its share from 0.74% to 1.20%.
Others
Smaller OEMs under the “Others” category sold 1,113 units in June 2025, up from 517 units last year. Their collective share rose from 9.36% to 13.01%.

India's construction equipment industry has shown a strong recovery in June 2025, with total sales rising sharply compared to last year. While JCB remains the top brand, its declining market share indicates rising competition.
Brands like CASE, Liugong, Ajax, Tata Hitachi, and Mahindra have gained significant ground, pointing toward a more diverse and competitive market.
