Tata Motors Registered 28,147 Commercial Vehicle Sales in May 2025

Tata Motors reported a 10% year-on-year drop in total domestic sales in May 2025. HCV truck and SCV pickup sales declined by 10% and 20%, respectively, while ILMCV trucks grew by 11%. Passenger carrier sales remained steady. Overall domestic CV sales dropped 9%, but exports rose sharply by 87%. Total CV sales fell 5% to 28,147 units. Despite challenges in key segments, export growth and ILMCV performance offered some positives amid a mixed market scenario.

VECV Sales Report May 2025: 5,264 Units Sold; Sales Grew by 7.25%

VECV recorded a 7.25% sales growth in May 2025, selling 5,264 units. Eicher's sales rose 8.34%, driven by strong domestic light and medium-duty truck growth (15.20%) and a 520% jump in heavy-duty exports. Overall exports rose 35.46%. However, heavy-duty domestic truck sales dropped 8.13%. Volvo sales declined by 20.90%, with only 144 units sold. Despite this, VECV showed solid performance, led by Eicher’s consistent gains in both domestic and export markets.

Ashok Leyland Sales Report May 2025: Sold 12,808 units; Report 4.82% Growth

Ashok Leyland reported a 4.82% increase in total sales, reaching 12,808 units in May 2025. Domestic CV sales rose by 5.57%, with strong 12% growth in the M&HCV segment. LCV domestic sales grew by 3%. However, exports fell by 28.15% to 194 units, mainly due to a 61% drop in LCV exports, despite a 6% rise in M&HCV exports. The company showed solid domestic performance but faced challenges in international markets.

Mahindra Sales Report May 2025: Experienced Growth of 9% in Domestic CV Sales

Mahindra & Mahindra reported a 9% rise in domestic commercial vehicle sales in May 2025, selling 28,027 units. The LCV 2T segment declined by 18%, while the LCV 2T–3.5T segment grew by 14%. LCV >3.5T and MHCV saw a slight 1% increase. Three-wheeler sales, including electric models, rose by 11%. Export sales surged by 37%, reaching 3,652 units. Despite a drop in the LCV 2T category, Mahindra showed strong performance overall, supported by robust exports and consistent growth in key segments.

Eicher Trucks and Buses Reaffirms Net Zero Commitment on World Environment Day

On World Environment Day, VECV reaffirmed its commitment to sustainability by expanding its zero-emission trucks and buses across India. The EV-first Eicher Pro X targets green delivery, while the Bhopal plant showcases Industry 4.0 and eco-friendly manufacturing. VECV aims to use 70% renewable energy by FY27 and become water-positive by 2030. With a focus on clean mobility, smart manufacturing, and inclusivity, Eicher is driving India’s Net Zero vision through innovation and responsible growth.

FADA Sales Report May 2025: Three-wheeler YoY sales increased by 6.28%

India’s three-wheeler market recorded total sales of 1,04,448 units in May 2025, marking a 6.28% YoY and 4.69% MoM growth. Electric goods rickshaw sales surged by 44.08% YoY, while passenger segment sales rose 7.34% MoM. Mahindra and TVS showed notable growth, reflecting rising EV adoption. While some brands saw a decline, overall sales indicate strong demand and increasing preference for electric three-wheelers, highlighting a positive shift towards sustainable transport in the country.

FADA Sales Report May 2025: CV sales decreased by 3.7% YoY

In May 2025, India’s commercial vehicle (CV) sales declined by 3.7% year-on-year to 75,615 units and fell 11.25% month-on-month. Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) sales dropped by 3.16% YoY, while Heavy Commercial Vehicle (HCV) sales fell 7.06% YoY and 22.18% MoM. Medium Commercial Vehicle (MCV) sales rose 6.49% YoY. Tata Motors led sales with 26,100 units but saw lower sales than last year. The market faces challenges but shows promise in the MCV segment.

Chartered Speed Launches 10 Electric Buses in Arunachal Pradesh to Boost Green Mobility

Chartered Speed has introduced 10 electric buses in Arunachal Pradesh, operating in Itanagar, Namsai, and Pasighat. The initiative, flagged off by Deputy CM Chowna Mein on June 5, 2025, includes strategically placed charging stations to ensure smooth operations. This effort aligns with Chartered Speed’s green mobility vision and its plan to run over 900 electric buses in 13 cities under CESL. The move supports sustainable transportation and India’s shift toward eco-friendly public transport.

Mahindra Tractor Sales Report May 2025: Registers 10% Growth with 38,914 Units Sold

Mahindra sold 38,914 tractors in May 2025, marking a 10% year-on-year growth in domestic sales. Total sales, including exports, reached 40,643 units, also up 10%. However, exports dropped 8% to 1,729 units in May. Year-to-date (April–May) domestic sales rose 9% to 77,430 units, with total sales up 9% to 80,697 units. Positive monsoon forecasts and government support are expected to boost tractor demand further in coming months.

VST Tractor Sales Report May 2025: 3,486 Units Sold, Power Tillers Drive Growth

VST Tillers Tractors Ltd sold 3,486 units in May 2025, up 40.90% year-on-year. Power tiller sales rose 54.05% to 3,047 units, driving growth, while tractor sales dropped 11.49% to 439 units. Year-to-date, power tiller sales increased 70.55% to 5,050 units, and tractor sales grew 7.39% to 756 units. Overall YTD sales reached 5,806 units, up 58.41%. Rising power tiller demand supports VST’s strong growth despite a slight tractor sales dip.

Escorts Kubota Tractor Sales May 2025: Domestic Sales Drop by 2%, Exports Surge Over 71%

Escorts Kubota sold 10,354 tractors in May 2025, a 0.7% increase year-on-year. Domestic sales fell 2% to 9,703 units, while exports surged 71.3% to 651 units. For April–May FY26, total sales slightly declined by 0.2% to 19,083 units, with domestic sales down 3% but exports rising 69.5%. Positive monsoon forecasts and better rural liquidity boost the company’s outlook for tractor demand growth in upcoming months, especially for the Kharif season.

Sonalika reinforces its role as a trusted partner, providing powerful machines designed to meet evolving agricultural needs and support farmers’ success in every season.

FADA Retail Tractor Sales Report April 2025: 71,992 Units Sold

India’s retail tractor sales in May 2025 reached 71,992 units, up from 70,063 last year. Mahindra led with 16,511 units and a 22.93% market share, followed by Swaraj with 13,643 units (18.95%). Sonalika and Escorts Kubota showed steady growth, while TAFE and Kubota experienced sales and market share declines. John Deere and other brands improved their positions. The overall market showed steady growth, reflecting strong demand and competition among top tractor manufacturers.
