In the FADA sales report for May 2025, 1,04,448 units of three-wheelers were sold compared to 99,766 units in April 2025.
FADA Sales Report May 2025: Three-wheeler YoY sales increased by 6.28%

Key Highlights:

  • In May 2025, 1,04,448 three-wheelers were sold, more than in April 2025 and May 2024.
  • Electric goods rickshaw sales grew by 44.08% compared to last year.
  • Passenger three-wheeler sales increased by 7.34% from April and 5.09% from May 2024.
  • Mahindra and TVS sold more three-wheelers than last year.
  • The rise in electric three-wheeler sales shows that more people are choosing electric vehicles.

The Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations (FADA) has shared its vehicle retail data for May 2025, showing a 4.69% increase in sales compared to last month.

Category-Wise Three-Wheeler Sales Performance in May 2025

In May 2025, a total of 1,04,448 three-wheelers were sold, compared to 99,766 in April 2025 and 98,274 in May 2024. The sales increased by 4.69% MoM and 6.28% YoY.

E-Rickshaws (Passenger) sales were 40,635 in May 2025, up from 39,528 in April 2025 and 39,500 in May 2024. The sales grew by 2.80% MoM and 2.87% YoY.

Sales of E-Rickshaw with Cart (Goods) were 7,972 in May 2025, higher than 7,463 in April 2025 and 5,533 in May 2024. The Y-O-Y and M-O-M sales increased by 44.08% and 6.82%, respectively.

Three-Wheeler (Goods) sales were 10,272 in May 2025, slightly lower than 10,312 in April 2025 but higher than 9,933 in May 2024. The M-O-M sales decreased by 0.39%, and the Y-O-Y sales increased by 3.41%.

Three-Wheeler (Passenger) sales reached 45,429 in May 2025, compared to 42,321 in April 2025 and 43,230 in May 2024. The Y-O-Y and M-O-M sales increased by 5.09% and 7.34%, respectively.

Three-Wheeler (Personal) sales were 140 in May 2025, slightly down from 142 in April 2025 but much higher than 78 in May 2024. The Y-O-Y sales increased by 79.49%, and the M-O-M sales decreased by 1.41%.

Three-Wheeler FADA Sales Report: OEM-wise Sales Performance

Bajaj Auto Ltd sold 34,597 three-wheelers in May 2025, compared to 35,529 in May 2024.

Mahindra & Mahindra Limitedsold 7,203 units in May 2025, up from 5,287 in May 2024.

Piaggio Vehicles Pvt Ltd sold 6,218 units in May 2025, compared to 7,017 in May 2024.

YC Electric Vehicle sold 3,684 units in May 2025, slightly less than 3,779 in May 2024.

TVS Motor Company Ltd sold 3,451 units in May 2025, up from 1,717 in May 2024.

Atul Auto Ltd sold 2,045 units in May 2025, lower than 2,450 in May 2024.

Saera Electric Auto Pvt Ltd sold 2,004 units in May 2025, down from 2,473 in May 2024.

Dilli Electric Auto Pvt Ltd sold 1,734 units in May 2025, fewer than 2,206 units in May 2024.

Mini Metro EV L.L.P sold 1,190 units in May 2025, compared to 1,318 in May 2024.

Unique International sold 1,143 units in May 2025, slightly less than 1,324 in May 2024.

Energy Electric Vehicles sold 1,142 units in May 2025, up from 1,068 in May 2024.

Sahnianand E Vehicles Pvt Ltd sold 1,114 units in May 2025, more than 805 units in May 2024.

Other manufacturers, including EV brands, sold 38,923 units in May 2025, compared to 33,301 in May 2024.
