The Madhya Pradesh government has presented the MP Budget 2025–26, bringing several benefits for farmers. Chief Minister Mohan Yadavhas announced subsidies on tractors and other farming equipment. The budget also includes incentives for wheat and paddy cultivation, bonuses on milk production, and support for solar pump connections. The state government has allocated Rs 58,257 crore for the agriculture sector, ensuring farmers get more financial support.

Finance Minister Jagdish Devda presented the MP Budget 2025–26 in the assembly. This year’s total budget is Rs 4.21 lakh crore, which is 15% higher than last year. The government aims to boost agricultural production and increase farmers’ income. Here are the major announcements:
Rs 19,208 crore allocated to provide subsidies on farmers' electricity bills.
Rs 850 crore set aside as an incentive for paddy procurement.
Rs 5,220 crore reserved for the Chief Minister Kisan Kalyan Yojana.
Under the Chief Minister Krishak Unnati Yojana, farmers growing limited crops will get incentives for diversification.
Rs 624 crore allocated for wheat purchase bonuses at MSP, with a bonus of Rs 175 per quintal.
Rs 694 crore reserved for interest subsidies on short-term loans from cooperative banks.
Rs 230 crore provided for subsidies on tractors and farming equipment.
Rs 2,000 crore allocated for the Prime Minister Crop Insurance Scheme.
Rs 447 crore for the Pradhan Mantri Krishak Mitra Surya Yojana to promote solar-powered pumps for irrigation.
Rs 100 crore for the National Horticulture Mission under the “Per Drop More Crop” scheme, supporting micro-irrigation.
Rs 40 crore allocated for agricultural research on climate change and pest management at JN Agricultural University, Jabalpur, and RV Scindia Agricultural University, Gwalior.
Rs 183 crore reserved for the National Mission on Edible Oil and Oilseed, more than double last year’s amount.

The budget also includes provisions for cattle farmers and fishery workers:
Rs 50 crore for the Chief Minister’s Dairy Development Scheme, offering Rs 5 per liter as an incentive for milk collection.
Rs 505 crore for the Cow Development and Animal Development Scheme.
Rs 105 crore for the Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana.
Rs 145 crore under the Chief Minister Fisherman Prosperity Scheme.
