The key to unlocking this benefit lies in completing the Farmer Registry process. Let’s simplify everything you need to know about this initiative, such as how to register and its benefits.

Why Farmer Registry is Important

The central government has launched various schemes to support farmers, such as:

However, to seamlessly access these benefits, farmers must now register under the Farmer Registry program. Without registration, farmers may lose access to essential benefits like crop loans, insurance, and minimum support prices (MSP) for their produce.

Key Deadline for Uttar Pradesh Farmers

For farmers in Uttar Pradesh, the last date to complete the Farmer Registry is January 31, 2025. Farmers who do not complete this process by the deadline will:

  • Lose the opportunity to sell their crops at MSP.

Benefits of Completing Farmer Registry

The UP Agriculture Department has outlined several advantages for registered farmers:

  1. Access to Loans Without Documents: Farmers can secure loans of up to Rs 2 lakh via Digital KCC on the same day without additional paperwork.
  2. No Repeated e-KYC: Once registered, farmers won’t need to update e-KYC repeatedly.
  3. Eligibility for MSP Sales: The Farmer Registry ensures easy registration for selling crops at MSP.
  4. Protection from Fraud: Real-time updates through Khatauni records prevent fraudulent activities.
  5. Direct Access to Government Benefits: Farmers will automatically qualify for disaster relief, crop insurance, and the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme.
