India’s tractor industry witnessed a strong sales jump in November 2025, with total retail sales touching 1,26,033 units, compared to 80,507 units in November 2024, according to data shared by FADA. Good crop output, better income expectations, and rising mechanisation contributed to this strong performance.

Brand-Wise Performance Details

Mahindra & Mahindra (Tractor Division)

Mahindra continued its leadership position with 31,938 units sold in November 2025, a major jump from 19,521 units last year. Its market share rose to 25.34% from 24.25%. The brand’s wide rural network and trust among farmers helped it stay at the top across regions.

Mahindra & Mahindra (Swaraj Division)

The Swaraj Division strengthened its second-place position with 23,220 units, up from 14,703 units in November 2024. Its market share improved slightly to 18.42% from 18.26%. Swaraj tractors remain popular for reliability, simplicity, and easy maintenance.

International Tractors Limited (Sonalika)

Sonalika secured third place with 15,742 tractors, rising from 10,856 units last year. However, its market share slipped to 12.49% from 13.48%, showing strong sales volume growth but a slightly reduced share due to faster growth among competitors.

Escorts Kubota Ltd

Escorts Kubota saw one of the most impressive jumps, selling 14,521 units, compared to 7,399 units in November 2024. Its market share increased to 11.52% from 9.19%, driven by demand for its modern tractor offerings and technology-backed products.

TAFE Ltd (Massey Ferguson)

TAFE sold 13,559 units, higher than 9,387 units last year, but its market share declined to 10.76% from 11.66%. The brand maintains strong customer preference, especially in southern and western markets.

John Deere India

John Deere recorded 9,584 units, up from 5,959 units in November 2024. Its market share improved slightly to 7.60% from 7.40%. Deere continues to be popular among buyers seeking premium and feature-rich tractor models.

Eicher Tractors

Eicher reported 7,027 unit sales, compared to 5,560 units last year. However, its market share dropped to 5.58% from 6.91%, showing that while volumes grew, competition intensified in its segment.

CNH Industrial (New Holland)

CNH Industrial sold 5,784 units, rising from 3,104 units last year. Its market share improved to 4.59% compared to 3.86% earlier. New Holland tractors continue to appeal to modern farmers focused on technology and efficiency.

Others (<1% share)

Other OEMs together contributed 4,658 units, slightly lower than 4,018 units last year. This category includes manufacturers with less than 1% market share, indicating a gradual increase in the dominance of major brands.
