Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 featured 1,100 exhibitors displaying over 100,000 products, drawing 75,000 visitors including international delegations.
Government to Decide Future Schedule of Bharat Mobility Global Expo

Key Highlights:

  • The government will consult SIAM and ACMA on whether to make the Bharat Mobility Expo annual or biennial.
  • Bharat Mobility was introduced in 2024, merging vehicle and component expos into one unified platform.
  • The 2024 expo saw 9.5 lakh visitors and 200 product launches, focusing on EVs.
  • Over 1,100 exhibitors showcased 100,000 products, with global delegations attending.
  • Major auto companies like Bajaj Auto and Honda Cars did not participate, citing high costs and declining interest in auto shows globally.

After hosting the Bharat Mobility Global Expo for two consecutive years, the government is considering the event's future schedule. It plans to seek suggestions from industry associations like SIAM and ACMA to determine whether the event should be held every year or every two years.

Evolution from Separate Expos to Unified Platform

Until 2024, vehicle and component expos were held separately by SIAM and ACMA every two years. In 2024, both events were unified under the Bharat Mobility brand, showcasing the entire mobility ecosystem.

Vision of Bharat Mobility Global Expo

Initiated by the Ministry of Commerce, the Bharat Mobility Global Expo aims to position India as a hub for mobility solutions. The expo brought together major OEMs, component manufacturers, and companies from allied sectors like batteries and charging infrastructure.

Mixed Reactions and Future Plans

While Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal initially suggested an annual schedule after the first edition's success, the government now seeks input from stakeholders regarding future editions. Despite a successful event with significant footfall and product launches, some major auto companies such as Baja Auto, Honda Cars, Renault, Nissan, Sona Comstar and Lumax Industries did not participate this year. Globally, auto shows are becoming less popular as they involve high marketing costs, and many companies find limited value in participating.

Highlights of Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025

  • Exhibition Statistics: Over 9.5 lakh footfalls recorded, with nearly 200 product launches.
  • Automaker Participation: 34 automakers showcased products, unveiling 90 new products with a strong focus on electric vehicles.
  • Component Show: Featured 1,100 exhibitors displaying over 100,000 products, drawing 75,000 visitors including international delegations.
