JCB India Limited retained its market leadership with a 50.43% market share.
Total market retail sales increased from 3,930 units in August 2025 to 5,166 units in August 2026.
ACE maintained second position with 556 units and 10.76% market share.
Escorts Kubota Construction Equipment sold 412 units, while AJAX Engineering recorded 282 units.
Bull Machines, CASE India, Indo Farm and LiuGong India recorded notable improvements in market share compared to August 2025.

India's wheeled construction equipment retail market recorded strong growth in August 2026, with total sales rising to 5,166 units, compared to 3,930 units in August 2025, according to the latest data released by FADA Research.
The market recorded an increase of around 31.45% year-on-year, indicating stronger retail activity in the construction equipment segment. JCB India Limited continued to dominate the market, accounting for more than half of total wheeled construction equipment retail sales during the month.

JCB India Limited remained the undisputed leader in India's wheeled construction equipment retail market in August 2026. The company sold 2,605 units, compared to 2,126 units in August 2025. JCB's market share stood at 50.43%, making it the only manufacturer to account for more than half of the total market during the month. However, despite higher sales volumes, JCB's market share declined from 54.10% in August 2025, as several other manufacturers recorded faster growth.
Action Construction Equipment Ltd. (ACE) retained its second position with retail sales of 556 units in August 2026, compared to 395 units during August 2025. The company's market share improved to 10.76% from 10.05% in the previous year, strengthening its position in the construction equipment market.
Escorts Kubota Limited's Construction Equipment division sold 412 units in August 2026, significantly higher than the 246 units sold in August 2025. Its market share increased from 6.26% to 7.98%, making Escorts Kubota one of the major gainers among leading construction equipment manufacturers during the month.
AJAX Engineering Ltd recorded sales of 282 units in August 2026, compared to 218 units in August 2025. Despite the increase in sales volume, the company's market share stood at 5.46%, marginally lower than the 5.55% share recorded during the same month last year.
Bull Machines Pvt Ltd recorded strong growth in August 2026, with sales increasing to 173 units from 88 units in August 2025. The company's market share improved significantly from 2.24% to 3.35%, reflecting a substantial improvement in its overall market presence.
Caterpillar India Private Limited recorded retail sales of 121 units in August 2026, compared to 109 units during August 2025. Although sales increased, its market share declined from 2.77% to 2.34% as the overall construction equipment market expanded at a faster pace.
Tata Hitachi Construction Machinery Co. Pvt Ltd sold 117 units in August 2026, compared to 97 units in August 2025. The company's market share stood at 2.26%, slightly lower than the 2.47% market share recorded during the previous year.
CASE New Holland Construction Equipment (India) Pvt Ltd recorded a strong improvement in August 2026. The company sold 106 units, almost double the 54 units recorded in August 2025. Its market share increased from 1.37% to 2.05%, marking a notable improvement in its position in the Indian construction equipment market.
Schwing Stetter (India) Private Limited recorded sales of 92 units in August 2026, compared to 74 units in the corresponding month last year. Its market share, however, marginally declined to 1.78% from 1.88%.
Indo Farm Equipment Limited emerged as one of the fastest-growing brands in terms of sales growth during August 2026. The company sold 73 units, compared to just 19 units in August 2025. Its market share rose sharply from 0.48% to 1.41%.
LiuGong India Pvt. Ltd recorded 62 units in August 2026, compared to only 7 units in August 2025. The company's market share increased significantly from 0.18% to 1.20%, reflecting substantial growth in its retail performance.
Doosan Bobcat India Pvt Ltd recorded retail sales of 49 units in August 2026, compared to 33 units during August 2025. The company's market share improved from 0.84% to 0.95%.
The Others category collectively sold 518 units in August 2026, compared to 464 units in August 2025. However, their combined market share declined to 10.03% from 11.81%. According to FADA, the Others category includes OEMs accounting for less than 1% market share.
