As electric trucks and electric buses gain momentum across India and global markets, the need for faster charging, higher uptime, and smarter battery management is becoming more important than ever. Addressing these challenges, EMO Energy has entered the heavy commercial EV segment with the launch of an advanced intelligent battery platform for electric buses, trucks, and large fleet operators. The new solution combines fast charging, AI-powered battery intelligence, advanced thermal management, and predictive diagnostics to help fleets improve efficiency, reduce downtime, and lower operating costs.
The newly launched platform combines multiple technologies into a single integrated solution. It brings together advanced battery systems, charging technology, thermal management solutions, and artificial intelligence (AI)-based battery monitoring to improve the performance and reliability of commercial electric vehicles.
EMO Energy stated that the platform has been developed specifically for demanding fleet operations where vehicle uptime and operational efficiency play a critical role.
One of the key highlights of the platform is its support for high-voltage architectures of up to 800V. The system is compatible with both Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) and Nickel Manganese Cobalt (NMC) battery chemistries, giving manufacturers and fleet operators greater flexibility based on their operational requirements.
The platform is capable of enabling charging in less than 30 minutes, helping reduce vehicle downtime and allowing fleets to return to operations more quickly.
The battery platform includes several advanced technologies designed to improve safety, performance, and long-term reliability. These features include:
Modular battery architecture
Immersion-cooling thermal management system
Smart Battery Management System (BMS)
Cell-level battery health monitoring
Predictive diagnostics
Advanced safety functions
AI-enabled battery intelligence
According to the company, these technologies work together to optimise battery performance while helping operators monitor vehicle health in real time.
EMO Energy's battery platform has been developed for a wide range of commercial electric vehicle applications. These include:
Electric buses
Heavy-duty trucks
Logistics and delivery fleets
Construction vehicles
Industrial vehicles
The company believes the platform can support the growing demand for reliable and high-performance battery solutions across different commercial transportation sectors.
EMO Energy emphasised that the future of commercial electric mobility will depend not only on battery capacity but also on battery intelligence. The company has designed the platform with a strong focus on improving vehicle uptime, enhancing operational reliability, and extending battery life.
By reducing downtime and improving vehicle utilisation, the platform is expected to help fleet operators achieve a lower total cost of ownership (TCO). It also includes provisions for second-life battery applications, supporting sustainability and better lifecycle value.
The launch marks a significant expansion of EMO Energy's presence in the commercial EV sector. The company already works with commercial vehicle manufacturers by developing battery systems, charging infrastructure solutions, thermal management technologies, and AI-powered battery intelligence platforms for commercial mobility applications.
Commenting on the development, Sheetanshu Tyagi, Founder and CEO of EMO Energy, said, "The future of commercial EVs will be defined not just by battery capacity, but by battery intelligence. At EMO Energy, we're building intelligent battery systems that help commercial fleets achieve higher uptime, faster charging, and long-term reliability at scale."
