HD Hyundai Construction Equipment India is set to showcase its 50-ton-class HX520L Mining Excavator at Bauma CONEXPO INDIA 2026. The company is also expected to introduce a new range of compact construction equipment at the four-day exhibition, potentially expanding its presence beyond conventional construction and mining applications.
The 8th edition of Bauma CONEXPO INDIA will be held from September 15 to 18, 2026, at the India Expo Centre and Mart, Greater Noida, Delhi NCR. Hyundai HD will display its machines at Stall No. O.F-10.
The Hyundai HX520L is expected to be one of the major attractions at Hyundai HD’s exhibition stall. Based on the company’s global HX Series platform, the 50-ton-class excavator has been developed for demanding heavy-duty mining operations.
Hyundai describes the HX520L as the largest excavator manufactured in India. The machine is designed to handle tough applications in coal, iron ore and limestone mining, making it suitable for large-scale and intensive operations.
Along with the HX520L, Hyundai HD is creating interest around a new compact equipment lineup that could be introduced at the event.
According to sources, the upcoming machines could find applications across arecanut plantations, agriculture and urban infrastructure. Hyundai has described the solutions as compact in size while offering versatility across different applications.
However, the company has not yet revealed detailed specifications or other information about the upcoming lineup. If launched, these machines could mark a broader product strategy for Hyundai HD, taking its portfolio beyond traditional construction and mining applications.
Hyundai HD has continued to highlight new technologies and products at major industry events. At Bauma Munich 2024, Hyundai Construction Equipment showcased the HW155H wheeled excavator, which uses hydrogen fuel-cell technology. The machine demonstrated the company’s focus on hydrogen-powered equipment for carbon-free construction applications in Europe.
At EXCON 2025 in Bengaluru, Hyundai HD launched the R210E Excavator on December 9 at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre. The 20-ton excavator was designed around high fuel efficiency, lower operating costs and improved operator comfort. It targets applications including general construction, infrastructure, sand mining, earthwork and rental operations.
Bauma CONEXPO INDIA is an international trade fair covering construction machinery, building material machines, mining equipment and construction vehicles. Held every two years, the event brings together manufacturers, contractors, infrastructure developers, mining companies, equipment buyers and industry professionals. It is also part of the globally recognised bauma network.
The 2026 edition is expected to attract several major construction equipment manufacturers, with JCB, SANY, Caterpillar and Tata Hitachi among the leading brands that have confirmed their participation.
Hyundai HD’s participation at Bauma CONEXPO INDIA 2026 is expected to be significant, with the HX520L mining excavator taking centre stage. The anticipated compact equipment launches could also open new opportunities in agriculture, plantations and urban infrastructure. With the company continuing to showcase electric, hydrogen and conventional equipment technologies, the exhibition could provide a clear look at Hyundai HD’s expanding product strategy.
