Ashok Leyland has expanded its Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) network in Karnataka with the opening of a new dealership in Raichur. The outlet, located at Mukram Gunj, is the company’s 12th LCV dealership in Karnataka and is operated by new channel partner SB Motors LLP.

The new dealership follows a 3S (Sales, Service and Spares) format and features seven service bays, supported by dedicated equipment and service infrastructure. It is designed to improve access to vehicle sales, servicing and spare parts for LCV customers across Raichur and surrounding areas.

Ashok Leyland LCV Network Expands

With the latest addition, Ashok Leyland’s LCV distribution network now covers more than 945 customer touchpoints across India. The company considers Karnataka an important market for its LCV business and expects the Raichur facility to strengthen its presence while making after-sales support more accessible.

More than 600,000 Ashok Leyland LCVs are currently operating across India. The company’s LCV portfolio covers multiple applications, including entry-level small commercial vehicles, load carriers and buses.

Ashok Leyland LCV Range

The new dealership will support Ashok Leyland’s LCV range, including the Saathi, Dost, Bada Dost, Partner and MiTR.

The Saathi is positioned in the premium entry-level SCV segment. It gets a 45 hp engine producing 110 Nm of torque and has a claimed payload capacity of 1,120 kg.

The Bada Dost is available in six variants and uses an 80 hp BS6 engine. The Dost family is also offered in Dost XL and Dost+ XL versions.

The Partner targets the 4-tonne payload segment and is available in four- and six-tyre configurations. It is powered by a ZD30 CRDI engine. Meanwhile, the MiTR bus is offered in staff and school bus versions.

The Bada Dost, Dost, Saathi, Partner and MiTR are manufactured at Ashok Leyland’s Hosur plant.
