The Jammu and Kashmir Energy Development Agency (JAKEDA) invites tenders from eligible bidders to support solarization.
PV systems ranging from 1kwp to 30kwp
J&K is making a transition to greener energy by solarization of 4000 pumps. This initiative falls under the PM-Kusum scheme, which aims at the adoption of renewable sources of energy.
The Jammu and Kashmir Energy Development Agency (JAKEDA) invites tenders from eligible bidders to support solarization. Furthermore, these bidders will take responsibility for supplying, installing, testing, commissioning, and maintaining grid-connected solar PV systems for the pumps.
This tender process is detailed, and the two-cover system will make it clear and efficient. Interested candidates must develop the capability to handle PV systems ranging from 1kwp to 30kwp. It includes arranging necessary components like SVFP and other components for the solarization process.

The deadline for submitting bids is 1 March 2024, and the technical bids will take place on 4 March 2024. For the seriousness of commitment, the bidders must furnish an interest-free bond worth Rs 50 lakhs to the CEO of JAKEDA.
Jammu and Kashmir are keen on selecting experienced vendors with a proven track record due to their investment worth Rs 1.4 Billion. The interested parties must demonstrate an annual turnover of Rs 200 million over the last three years.
Their net worth should also be similar to the total investment made till the end of the previous financial year. To maintain quality, the companies must only use the modules approved by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy.
This initiative will contribute to reducing the dependency on conventional sources for agricultural processes. Additionally, this will also mitigate the environmental impact and also, it will develop the ability of farmers to handle energy in a more optimized way.
