Mahindra introduced three models as part of the launch – OJA 1123 HST, OJA 1126 HST, and OJA 2126 HST – from the OJA 1100 and 2100 series. These tractors are specifically built for Australian farming conditions, delivering a mix of performance, reliability, and convenience.
The OJA range is based on Mahindra’s global lightweight 4WD platform and comes with several segment-first features:
Button-operated PTO for easier operation
Class-leading loader lift capacity for efficient handling
Hydrostatic transmission (HST) for smooth, effortless driving
Power steering and advanced hydraulics for better control
Optional HVAC cabins for all-weather comfort
Operator convenience has been a major focus. Features like projector headlights improve visibility during early mornings or late evenings, while the wide flat platform, tilt steering, and mComfort seat with foldable armrests make long working hours more comfortable. The digital display and colour-coded controls make the tractors user-friendly, even for first-time operators.
The OJA 1100 series is perfect for small farms and lifestyle property owners, while the OJA 2100 series is made for more demanding tasks.
Model | Horsepower | Key Features |
OJA 1123 HST | 23 hp | Cruise control, button-operated PTO, supports mid-mount mower |
OJA 1126 HST | 26 hp | Similar features to 1123 HST with more power |
OJA 2126 HST | 26 hp | 3-range HST transmission, optional air-conditioned cab, 580 kg loader lift capacity, 800 kg rear hitch lift |
These features make the tractors versatile, whether for property maintenance, farming, or handling heavier workloads.
The name OJA comes from the Sanskrit word Ojas, meaning “Powerhouse of Energy.” The platform was developed in collaboration with Mahindra Research Valley (India) and Mitsubishi Mahindra Agricultural Machinery (Japan). Built at Mahindra’s advanced manufacturing facility in South India, the OJA tractors will not only serve Australian farmers but also be exported to the U.S., Canada, Thailand, and India.
Speaking about the launch, Mr. Veejay Nakra, President – Farm Equipment Business, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., said: “The OJA tractors highlight Mahindra’s commitment to innovation and durability, aligning with the needs of Australian farmers who demand performance and reliability.”
Mr. Ravindra S Shahane, Head – Global Product Planning & International Operations (ASEAN & ROW), added: “These tractors are engineered for versatility and ease of use, making them ideal for both farmers and lifestyle property owners.”
Mahindra is offering an industry-leading 3+3-year warranty – three years bumper-to-bumper coverage plus three additional years on the powertrain. The OJA range will be available across Mahindra dealerships in Australia starting today, with bookings already open.
